Beijing has been incredibly hot lately! I&#39;ve been heading to Hebei all weekend. It&#39;s a 200-plus kilometer drive, not too far or too close. If you want to see more, leave on Friday afternoon or evening. If you&#39;re short on time, leave early Saturday morning. The weekend is plenty of time to beat the heat!

Several places in Hebei offer fun, food, and summer escapes, all at a good value 🩷. They&#39;re perfect for the whole family. 🎪 I highly recommend Hetou Old Street, 🪭 Fulong Four Seasons Town for a great escape, and 🍖 Baoding, Hebei for the best food.

This time, the 📍 Xinglong Scenic Area was closed due to rain. 🌊 The Red River Rafting was closed. The surrounding Wuling Mountain and Wuling Mountain Aranya are both affected by the rain, making the mountain roads difficult to navigate.

Day 1: Depart from Beijing - Qingsongling Town - Shipaogou Stir-fry - Stay at Xinglong Farmhouse
Day 2: Xinglong Scenic Area - Return to Beijing in the afternoon
