Hey ladies, visiting Zhangzhou Ancient City for National Day! Or maybe you're coming over for the weekend or a short holiday? A good guide will help you avoid pitfalls and enjoy your meals! As someone who just returned from a trip to Zhangzhou Ancient City, I stayed up all night putting together this Zhangzhou Ancient City guide and am sharing it with everyone. I hope it helps everyone else traveling! -- Recommended Attractions - ① Zhangzhou Confucian Temple: Built during the Song Dynasty, this is the largest ancient architectural complex in Zhangzhou City. Outside, there are two memorial archways: "The Dao Crowns the Ancients" and "The Virtue of Heaven and Earth." Zhangzhou natives come here to pray for academic success. ② Stone Archways: Located on Hong Kong Road, four of these archways date back to the Ming and Qing dynasties. These include the "Shangshu Tanhua Archway" and "Sanshi Zaier Archway" from the Ming Dynasty, and the "Yongzhuang Jianyi Archway" and "Minyue Xiongsheng Archway" from the Qing Dynasty. ③ Jialan Temple: China's smallest temple, at just 3 square meters, its small attic can only accommodate two people. Located at 186-3 Hong Kong Road. ④ Kuixing Pavilion: As famous as the Confucius Temple, Kuixing Pavilion stands out, dominating the constellations. It's a beautiful sight when lit up at night. ⑤ Catholic Church: A rare Western-style building in Zhangzhou city, it's the largest Catholic church in Southern Fujian. ⑥ Fanghuali: This place offers a secluded tranquility. It was once the site of the Zhangzhou Health Bureau and is a great place for stunning photos. ——Food Recommendations—— Zhangzhou is overflowing with delicious food; you don't have to go to internet-famous restaurants. Any street vendor is great, and you'll want to stock up on some digestive supplements. I recommend a few restaurants that I personally think are great. 👇🏻 ① Muxueting: No. 5-3, Xinhua Northwest 1st Street. I'm sure everyone in Southern Fujian has tried Muxueting! Located in Zhangzhou's ancient city, this place is truly a testament to the times. The classic taro paste and taro ball ice cream is my favorite. I even tried a new flavor today! Both the coffee ice cream and the Thai milk ice cream were excellent! Highly recommended! ✔️Thai Tea Ice: This is a blend of red Thai milk blended into a smoothie base. It's richer than regular smoothie bases, and for Thai milk lovers, this bowl is the perfect match! ✔️Coffee Ice: The tea base has a coffee flavor, not too strong, so it's not bitter. Topped with a creamy topping and paired with coconut flakes, it's like oat milk—quite unique and non-greasy. ②Gongyuan Monk Dried Tofu Noodles: Located at 4 Xiangfanghua North Road, their specialty is their dried tofu noodles, with a fragrant and chewy texture and smooth noodles. ③Qingye Egg Burger: Another popular choice, it opens at 2 a.m. and has a long line. Located at 257-5 Beijing Road. ④Sun's Handmade Mochi: Located at 27-6 Cangyuan Road, their mochi are soft and chewy, with a variety of flavors, making them a perfect breakfast choice. ⑤Gongyuan Fat Girl Oyster Pancakes: Located at 6-4 Xinhua North Road, their signature oyster pancakes, paired with scallion oil noodles, are the perfect start to the day.
The bean curd noodles are very fragrant and delicious. There are a lot of diners coming and going. The taste is good.
