We were lucky enough to have reservations for a Friday night at this fine restaurant in the heart of Aarhus. The meal was delicious and the service was perfect. We had the "Full Throttle" menu, which in the US we call a "tasting menu." The 8 courses featured everything from premium seafood, soups in small portions, tenderloins and great desserts. The wait staff described each of our courses in English. The restaurant was full but noise was low. We had spent 4 hours at gastrome so planned this one out for the evening. They had a sitting and we started at 6:30pm.

Absolutely the best dining experience my family and I have had around the world.

I have always wanted to visit a Michelin star restaurant. Gastromé was the first one I went to know. From the moment you enter the restaurant the whole experience was very pleasant. The place is very cozy, modern and intimate for dining. The staff is very knowledgeable about the food they serve and where the ingredients used come from. They make each dish based on the freshest seasonal ingredients. They explained to us each dish, the ingredients and how it was prepared. They were very polite and always smiling. They were also very knowledgeable about the wines. It's too bad we didn't get to meet the restaurant owner but the 2 sous chefs are top notch!
If I ever come back to this city I will definitely go to Gastromé.
I have been to many good restaurants and restaurants of this class tend to be experimental and challenge my taste. It was an experience and a pleasure. But my wife did not find many of the "odd dishes";. We were told that they only serve what the chef likes but that is not necessarily what we want the same. We went for the signature menu and we have never had 18 different flavors and we loved all of them before dinner. The wine pairing was perfect. This was without a doubt the best meal ever. There are 2 dishes that we always agree we really don't like but here they make the best of it. Magic.
We had an absolutely great meal at the gastromé. Their Michelin star is well deserved, I would even go so far as to say they deserve one more. The food was great and the wine pairings were great. The staff are super and the atmosphere is really good. It's really hard to ask for more.
This restaurant has 1 Michelin star so we expected a lot. We chose their small menu with wine. The dishes came with a lot of time in between and we ran out of wine very quickly. While the waiter seemed knowledable and explained the food in depth, we were a little bit disappointed with the dishes, which looked beautiful but got little taste after the dishes. The chef needs to work on stronger flavor combinations away from meekness and reasonable prices. Also, the staff should refill the wine and speed up the serving time. We sat there for more than 4 hours on very uncomfortable chairs.
