Small restaurant hidden away on a side street. Appearances are deceiving. Elevated reasonably priced lunch. By mid service all tables were full and all had been reserved.Extremely pleasant servers
My husband and I made reservations for Jardin Des Plantes a couple of days before our visit. We both got the Gastronomique menu and shared a bottle of wine between us. It was delicious but also very filling! We tried foie gras, salmon tartar, a creamy white fish and sundried tomatoes dish, a creamy plum, pork, and morels dish, cheese plates with 4 different slices of cheese to try each, and dessert. I would highly recommend this place for people wanting to experience a multi-course dining experience or enjoy high quality French dishes à la carte in a quiet setting. Also, our host was very nice and timing of the five courses was great! We were there for 3 hours total. For non-french speakers, Google translate is your best friend for the menu, haha.
This restaurant was recommended to me - not in the center of town, non-descript facade, basic decor, we were doubtful. But as soon as the courses starting coming out, not only were we reassured but it was the best meal I'd had in a long time!
Our meal in this little neighbourhood restaurant was superb. The quality of the ingredients was top notch and dishes were executed with considerable flair and attention to detail. The sole front of house staff member was incredibly efficient and nice. Great value for money with generous portions, including a proper cheeseboard!
