La Serre

I have not enjoyed a meal so much for a long time. There was imagination, adventure and respect for quality ingredients in the 98 euro menu, with at least three stand-out courses. One, the St Pierre (John Dory) was exceptional and reminded me of visits to Gordon Ramsey in his prime. If a couple of dishes worked slightly less well - the chapon, in particular - it did not detract from the overall experience. Service was superb throughout. My wine choice was a joy and all credit to La Serre for being early adopters of Gigondas blanc. We genuinely can’t wait to go back next year to try this example of French restaurant skills at their (almost) finest. Walking distance of the town centre too…

I cannot speak highly enough about this restaurant. Every course was a delight, wonderful quality of food & expertly prepared. The service was the right balance of professional and friendly. The location & restaurant decor were lovely, making for a very comfortable and enjoyable evening.

A very pleasant atmosphere and decor. The dishes are delicious and refined, with original flavors. The apple and kiwi pavlova was the best dessert of my life! We had a pleasant evening and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

This restaurant is a nice surprise, a green setting as soon as you enter the park, a warm welcome, dishes worthy of a starred restaurant, impeccable service, all in a very pleasant, cozy atmosphere. We had a great time. Well done to the whole team.

A truly beautiful table and a lovely location. All the dishes were truly excellent. Magnificent desserts. Bravo.
