Restaurant Hotel de la Marne

We had the Menu Pempoull and really enjoyed it. The mackerel starter was weakest part but a good job was made of an ordinary fish. The quail main course and the dessert were both sublime. We had the menu Aodou an Arvor previously as while it was also very good the food we got from the Pempoull menu was really top class and amongst the best meals we ever got in Paimpol or anywhere else for that matter.

--Entrée and main Dish: average quality. There was a dish which had a lot of sauce in it and sweet. It disappointed me. --Dessert: excellent (above expectations). --Service: really bad. We were served first by a lady, who was apparently in a very bad mood. We didn't feel good quite from the start. There was another lady who came later on who was already better. But it felt awkward how the first served us. A robot could have been more humane maybe. --Atmosphere: average. We wanted just to finish and go out.A Michelin star should not only be about food but about correctly dealing with other humans.

The young lady was very welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The cuisine was exquisite, from starter to dessert. It's always a pleasure to be at this restaurant.

A very beautiful and tasty 1st experience. Everything was excellent, right down to the chef's wine recommendation. Go there with your eyes closed!
