Le Procope

At noon, I had lunch with my friends at the Procope, the oldest coffee shop in the world. It is actually worth writing a special article, from its long history to its well-known name... But the weather was so good, so the serious thing was to concentrate on eating the red wine stewed chicken.

Le procope is a century-old restaurant near the Louvre. We made a reservation to eat there. It is gorgeous and full of literary atmosphere. The food is also delicious. The appetizer is snails. The spiced sauce covers the muddy smell. The calf's head is stewed in a traditional secret sauce. The sauce penetrates into the cowhide and beef, melting in the mouth. It is not greasy at all. The chicken chop is served with potatoes. The cream sauce and potatoes are so delicious that you can't stop eating. The caramel pudding is sweet but not greasy.

I stumbled into this place by accident. I didn't expect that many great writers had been there. I ordered the lunch set. I liked the soup and fried potatoes. The steak was also good, but the dessert was too sweet for me. I was upset that I couldn't pay with a credit card. Everything else was good. I especially liked the environment and atmosphere.

The food is not amazing, just average. The dining space is not very spacious, cramped, and the air is stuffy and uncomfortable. The price is moderate, and the service is also average. It is a relatively ordinary coffee bar.
