Bora Bora is an island in the Society Islands in the southeastern Pacific Ocean. It is located at 16°30′S, 151°45′W, 270 km northwest of Tahiti. It belongs to French Polynesia. The land area is 38 square kilometers. It consists of the main island in the middle and a series of small islands around it. It was a US naval and air force base during World War II. It is one of the most beautiful islands in the Society Islands. Vaitape on the west coast of the island is the main settlement and port. There is an airport on the small island at the north end. It produces coconuts, citrus fruits, vanilla, etc. It has a tropical climate, with summer all year round and an average temperature of 20℃-30℃. April-October is the best season for tourism. Tourist season: It is suitable for tourism all year round. The dry season is from the end of March to October, and the rainy season is from November to February. However, there is more rain from December to January. It is slightly cooler in July and August, about 20℃.
