Wonderful restaurant wonderful service and amazing ambience. We would 100% go back here again for a perfect date night.
Dinkelsbühl is a town in Bavaria, Germany, 50 kilometers south of Rothenburg. The town is quiet and peaceful. Strolling on the streets and visiting the small shops around, a lazy afternoon becomes very pleasant. The city can still be entered from one of the four gates, and the old town with a complete historical style has a complete city wall. Similar to Rothenburg, it was also fought back and forth between Protestants and Catholics, but the 30-year war and the world war hardly damaged it. It was only the economic depression after the war that preserved the medieval style. Therefore, this place can be said to be the most quaint place on the Romantic Road, truly reproducing the medieval landscape. It is not as famous as Rothenburg, and its scale is not as large as Rothenburg. However, Dinkelsbühl has the same architecture and fairy tale feeling as Rothenburg, but less noisy crowds, and the appearance of horse-drawn carriages on the streets makes people wonder why LP said that this is the most quaint town on the Romantic Road. In a country like Germany with a well-developed railway network, there is still no train here. If you don’t drive yourself, you may miss such a "hidden" town. I recommend this restaurant, Restaurant Sonne, which serves German cuisine that tastes good and is reasonably priced.
Very professional staff. Menu in English and German. English speaking staff. Excellent seasonal food. We had the 5 course menu, which seemed reasonably priced to us. A lovely evening.
As you walk into this restaurant, you enter a distant German era, when walls were paneled with wood and decorated with frescoes and windows were leaded. It is quite charming. Happily, the kitchen is modern and delivers great dishes. If you are in Dinkelsbuhl to see what life was like in the Midfle Ages, this restaurant should be part of your experience.
Excellent food in a historic building and a great atmosphere xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
