L'Acqua Salata

Excellent, attentive service. The bottle of water, bread basket and welcome pours of Prosecco were all included in the 5 Euro cover charge. We had the 25 Euro 5-sampler appetizer platter, which was tasty but only a couple were real standouts. In hindsight, we would have gotten the 3-sampler appetizer and had the special of the day - a giant platter of fresh mussels. For our primo piatto, we shared the pasta with octopus tomato ragu. Again, tasty, but not spectacular. Our secondo piatto was the 17 Euro calamari fritti with shrimp, which was very good, along with a 5 Euro side salad with fennel. So overall, a great meal but it won’t be the best you’ve ever had. The 6 Euro glass of white house wine was delicious and the small side street outdoor ambience lovely.

Angelo at front of house gives amazing service. His sister is the waitress and brother is the chef. 12 of us dined on amazing fish dishes, complimentary food, Prosecco and limoncello. Travelling from the UK, night before boarding a cruise. I would highly recommend dining at this fish restaurant.

The food, the ambience, the host....everything was amazing. Do not miss this place if you are staying in Civitavecchia!

We had the pleasure of dining at L’Acqua Salata in Civitavechia. It was probably the best meal we have had in Italy since being here a week mostly in Rome. The restaurant is best known for its seafood and you can certainly understand why. Attention to detail in the preparation of the basics which make up the sauces are fantastic. I had a wonderful fish soup and it ranked up there with the best. Do yourselves a favor if you like seafood and treat yourself to a meal at L’Acqua Salata!

We are so happy that we dined at this restaurant! My mother and I had a fantastic time!. The food and service were incredible and if we’re ever in Civitavecchia again we will definitely eat here! The seafood appetizer was delicious and visually appealing.. my friends back home are in awe of my shared IG photos …if only they could taste the food!
