The restaurant sits within a beautifully preserved 17th-century residence in Matino&rsquo;s historic center, offering an enchanting, historically evocative ambiance.For our appetizer, we shared the Entr&eacute;e della Locanda, a generous selection featuring crispy fried bites, local cured meats, and artisanal cheeses. For the main course, we opted for Salento-style skewers and a tender slice of horse steak, both expertly grilled to perfection. As a side, we enjoyed a portion of crisp fries.Our meal was accompanied by natural water and a bottle of the house red wine, which complemented the flavors. Danilo is the perfect host for a creative osteria experience. Fantastic pugliese food combined with creative new ideas.The homemade fermented, seasoned and matured Swordfish and Tuna filets and salami, were a extra worthwhile experience.All combined with Danilo&lsquo;s warmhearted Service, made it a true delight.
