I was surprised that this was an impulsive choice, mainly due to the fact that the wait staff were the friendliest people I met in Rome. They were helpful and interested when I asked questions and commented on the food or wine, despite my horrible attempts in Italy. The food itself was a work of art, the fish gnocchi and spinach soup (honestly, I know it sounds weird, but it tasted great) were gorgeously presented and served with warm smiles. The Chianti was served by the glass perfectly and at the right temperature. With the help of the staff I ordered dessert which was also a surprise, generous and had great taste and texture. The total for 2 courses, wine, water, bread, starters was €38.

This is a beautiful restaurant, but if you are concerned about the price of the bill then avoid this restaurant. Other than that, it is really great. Not only does it have the best Italian food, but it also incorporates some new dishes with innovative cooking methods.

Excellent experience. We ordered a la carte and found all the dishes creative and tasty without being precious. Slight downgrade on the service only because our server for the mains did not remember which of us ordered what dish. Otherwise, the service was friendly and helpful.

The service was excellent and extremely friendly. The food was very inventive and full of taste. The wine and food combination of the sommelier was unbelievable.

We arrived as they opened and we spent 3 hours over a gastronomical tour of excellent food, helpful advice and tremendous service. My advice would be to listen to, and chat with, the staff. Once they clocked that we were swapping dishes (so we each tried everything) they started working on pairs of dishes. Well done to everyone there.
