Il Masgalano

It looks like an ordinary restaurant, but surprisingly there are special dishes to choose from. We ordered swordfish and chicken legs, which were of very high standard! Visitors who are walking from the free parking lot to the old town may consider visiting this place.

My daughter and I stopped in for a late lunch after traveling and made a lat minute reservation through the Fork...walked up, was seated quickly, Service was great. We had Bruschetta and Pappardelle Alla Cianghale and it was the best I have had in Italy so far!

Nice location near the Basilica Cateriniana San Domenico. If you sit outside you can see the tower of Duomo di Siena. The service was professional, but quick and brief due to quite a lot of traffic. The menus are in English also. The food was tasty and they offer a quite variety of local meals. The vegetarian and vegan options are plentiful and clearly marked. There is only one toilet.

Miserable weather didn’t stop us having a great evening. Excellent pizza and great service. Recommended.
