Been coming here for years. The fish is always fresh, batter's crisp and not greasy. Chips are fluffy inside, nice crunch. It's just good, honest fish and chips.

The steak pie is rich and filling, and the fish and chips are light. Portions are generous, which is a big plus for me. I feel the price is justified by what you get on the plate.

Cosy spot with lots of character. Found a quiet nook perfect for a relaxed evening. The staff were friendly and suggested a lovely local red that paired beautifully with the charcuterie board. A bit on the pricey side for the portion, but the wine selection made up for it.

Been coming here for years. The menu’s always got something interesting. Last time, my son knocked his plate over just after the kitchen shut. They still made him a fresh one without a fuss. That’s the kind of place it is.

A bit pricier than other spots around, but you can taste why. We shared a few small plates and everything was so fresh and flavourful. Perfect for a proper catch-up with friends.

The meat and potato pie was spot on. Really generous filling, proper shortcrust pastry. I'm already thinking about which one to try next time – the menu has a few interesting options.

Tucked away in Leek but easy enough to find. Free parking after 3pm is a lifesaver for a quick bite. Got the chicken sandwich, came out fast and hit the spot. Exactly what you need on a busy day.

The fish stew here is packed with fresh seafood, really generous portions. Ate it with some crusty bread, perfect for dipping. Felt very filling afterwards, just what I needed on a chilly evening.

Wednesday pie night is a solid deal. The steak and ale pie was hearty, good portion for the price with a pint. Service was efficient, got me in and out for a quick business dinner.

Lunch here was solid. The burger and chips were tasty and came out looking good. Paired it with a cold beer. The portion size for the price was decent, felt like I got what I paid for.

The staff were so careful with my allergy! They double-checked everything and even brought out a separate set of utensils. Really appreciated how seriously they took it.

Love the walled beer garden here, so lush with plants. Perfect for watching the world go by on the high street. The real star for me was the local ale on tap – a crisp, hoppy number that was just right for a sunny afternoon. Made the whole visit.

Perfect for a quick bite. Food's always solid, whether you eat in or grab it to go. Staff are friendly and efficient, never keep you waiting. Got my lunch sorted in no time.

The chocolates and flowers were such a thoughtful touch for Mother's Day. The complimentary main for mums was a lovely gesture, really made the day feel a bit more special.

The recent refurbishment is lovely. It's got a cosy, warm feel now, especially in the evenings. Good value for the area, too.

The fish soup was the best part. The broth had a nice tang, and it came with a generous portion. For the price, it was a solid choice.

The latte and mocha were okay. My food was pretty nice, but they brought the wrong dish. The place itself is lovely though, really liked the high ceilings and the big windows.

The vegan chicken and bacon sandwich was a great lunch pick! The staff are super friendly, which made it a nice spot to catch up with a friend.

The bread here is something else. You can tell they use good stuff. Grabbed a sourdough loaf and a croissant, both tasted like they were made that morning. Way better than anything from the shop.

Stumbled on this spot during a stay in Leek. The service really stood out—friendly and genuinely accommodating, even when we asked to switch tables. Made a simple lunch feel relaxed. The fish and chips were solid, though the peas were a bit cold.

The triple chocolate brownie is pretty good, always nice and gooey. A bit on the sweet side for me, though.

Service was so friendly and attentive, really made the meal.

Cosy family-run spot, the owners are lovely. Had a surprisingly good local red with the lamb stew, really brought out the herbs. Facilities are decent too.

Stopped in for breakfast on the way home. Place was packed, always a good sign. Owner was really friendly and down-to-earth.

Lovely, cosy little spot. The mismatched china is such a nice touch, really adds to that old-fashioned tea room feel. My chair was a bit wobbly, but the staff were quick to offer a different one. A very comfortable place to while away an afternoon.

The cocktails are well made, but I was a bit surprised by the price. £14 for a standard martini feels a bit steep for what you get. The vibe is nice, but the bill adds up quickly.
