The medieval decor is really something—staff in costumes, torches everywhere. We came for a casual hangout and ended up loving the venison soup and mixed meats. Service was friendly too. Would come back with more friends.

The eggs benedict on croissant is solid. Good sourdough too, hard to find around here. Gets busy on weekends but the line moves quick.

The seafood pasta was the only thing that mattered here. Squid and prawns cooked right, sauce had some depth. Portion decent for the price. Didn't care much about the rest. City center location makes it easy to find. I'd come back just for that dish.

The iced cappuccino hit the spot on a hot afternoon. They grind the beans right there if you grab a bag to go. Nice little rotation of roasts, too.

Solid regional food without any fuss. Prices felt fair for what you got. Staff were really nice to our kids, which always wins me over.

Stopped by for lunch and the wasabi risotto with grilled fish really stood out. Fresh, modern plates, not the usual stuff. Place is cozy but got a bit busy while we were eating. Service kept up fine though. Wouldn’t mind coming back for that risotto again.

The wine list here is solid, and the Primitivo di Manduria really stood out. Had it with the octopus, which was cooked just right. If you're into Italian wines, this place is a good find.

The staff set up a high chair and even brought little cutlery for our baby without us asking. Really nice touch. Food was solid too.

Stopped here for lunch and grabbed a table outside. The view over the lake is really something. Had the goulash and it was solid, proper paprika kick. Waitress knew the menu well and switched to English without skipping a beat. Only thing, took a bit to get the bill. Still, decent spot.

The terrace view really is something, especially when the sun starts going down. We grabbed a table without waiting too long, and the staff got our order out fast. Food was fine, nothing fancy, but honestly the scenery carried the whole visit. I'd say come for the view and keep expectations simple on the rest.

Came back here again last week, still my go-to spot for a quick bite. Staff remembered me and split our pizza onto two plates before I even asked—that’s the kind of small thing that keeps me coming back. Place was quiet around 5pm, easy to talk. Not fancy, but consistent. That’s what matters after a few visits.

Stumbled on this spot while walking around Nitra Castle. Staff were really nice and the vegan chocolate was properly creamy, not like some dry plant-based stuff. Good flavor lineup too. Only wish I had more room to try the other options.

Came here with a couple of friends on a random weekday evening. The place has a chill vibe, perfect for just hanging out and catching up over drinks. Cocktail list is solid, we tried a few and they were pretty good. Service was a bit slow at times, but nothing too annoying. Would come back if we're in the area again.

The beef soup here is genuinely the best I’ve had in a long time. They even made a gluten-free version for our friend without fuss. Portions are big, so come hungry. Just a heads-up, it’s about a 15-minute walk from the Basilica.

The pizza here is huge—one pie honestly could last me two meals. Price felt fair for what you get, especially if you show up starving. I grabbed a margherita and it hit the spot. Nothing fancy, but the portion-to-price ratio is hard to beat around here.

Decent spot for Hungarian comfort food. I had the babgulyás and it was rich, plenty of meat and beans in there. Portion was big enough that I couldn't finish it. The room feels a bit dated but that's part of the charm, I guess. Pretty good if you're after something hearty.

The lavender lemonade was the highlight honestly. I sat near the window and the light was nice, not too harsh. Place felt clean and the chairs were actually comfortable enough to stay a while. Food came out fine, nothing crazy but solid. Maybe a bit quiet for my taste but that's not a bad thing sometimes.

Stopped by for lunch on a workday. The goulash was solid, rich flavor, came out fast. Old-style interior is a nice touch, feels authentic. Service was polite but a bit rushed, not a big deal. Prices fair for the portion. Decent spot if you're in the area and want something quick without the tourist fuss.

Desserts here are something else. I’m picky about sweets and these actually surprised me. The pistachio cake was spot on, not too sweet. Place was busy but we got a table fast. Only downside, coffee came lukewarm. Still, I’d come back just for the cake.

Quick lunch spot in the center, service was fast and the price felt right. Portion was decent for what you pay. Nothing fancy but it did the job.

Stopped by for a late dinner, place was kinda dead but not in a bad way. Had the bryndzové sauce with pearl barley, that was the standout. Pork loin was fine but the gravy went cold quick. They had a decent wine list, went with a Slovak white which paired alright. Cheap eats, friendly enough staff. Wouldn't rush back but it does the job.

Solid spot for craft beer in Nitra. Rotating taps keep it interesting, staff actually know what they're talking about. Been a few times now, never disappointed.

The mango lassi was the best part — thick, creamy, just the right amount of sweet. Service was quick too, no waiting around. Place was busy but we got our drinks fast. Wish the glass was bigger though, finished it in like five minutes.

Been here a few times now. That smoked tomato soup is still the thing I keep thinking about. Gábor was on shift again and honestly he just makes the whole place feel easy. Not a fancy spot, but you don't need that. Just good food and someone who remembers you.

The place looks fancier than the price suggests, that’s for sure. Clean, modern, nice vibe. Menu’s pretty small though, and if you’re veggie you basically get one choice. I had the mushroom dish, it was decent but nothing mind-blowing. Portion felt a bit small for what they charge. Staff were friendly enough, but I left still a little hungry. Fine for a one-off, not somewhere I’d rush back to.

Lovely vibe inside, really cozy. Food was solid but the main course took forever to arrive. Maybe just an off night.

The Slovakian sampler for two was pretty big—meat, potatoes, pickles, gravy. We couldn't finish it. Waitress was young and spoke English fine. Cards accepted.

Came here on a busy evening and the staff actually seemed to care. Place was clean, which I appreciate. Got the chicken burger and it was decent for the price. Not mind-blowing, but you know exactly what you're getting. Service was quick too. Would stop by again if I'm in the area and need something fast.
