We always stop by when we&#39;re in the area. The staff are so friendly and the real ale is spot on. It&#39;s a proper, cosy British pub. The booths are comfy, which makes it easy to relax for a good while.

Came here for a lazy Sunday brunch with my uni mates. The breakfast stack was so good we ordered another one to share! The vibe is really warm and cosy, perfect for a long catch-up. Just a heads up, it got a bit loud later on.

Nice latte here, really smooth. Sat outside and it was a perfect spot to enjoy it. They use local flour for their pastries, which is a nice touch. Also picked up some of their chocolates to take home.

I have been a regular visitor to Englishes for many years, it is my favourite place to eat in Brighton, when I visit from London. On this occasion I brought a friend to celebrate her 60th birthday. It did not disappoint. The food was delicious as is their house champagne! It was relatively quiet inside the restaurant as the majority of the customers were sitting outside. The service was excellent.

Booked ahead and glad we did, it was packed! The English breakfast was spot on, really well done. Just a bit pricey for what it is, but you can taste the quality in the ingredients.

With friends we always end our trip to the Cinema with a meal at Toby&rsquo;s.  There&rsquo;s no other way of finishing off a great time at the pictures than with a fab roast from Tobys

Always very friendly staff, nothing ever too much bother. We always bring the dog and they always have treats in a cup on the table and a bowl of water ready for him.

A really enjoyable family Sunday lunch. Our servers were really lovely, attentive but not too much so. The food is delicious.....you will not come out of here hungry! A big shout out for good value children meals.

Been coming here for years. The real ale is always spot on, and they&#39;ve got a decent selection of beers and wines. Even found a couple from New Zealand last time. It&#39;s just a reliable local for a proper pint.

The risotto was spot on, creamy but not heavy. They had a nice Italian red by the glass that paired beautifully with it. Good value for the quality you get.
