Grand Cafe Restaurant 1e Klas

I love the location and atmosphere of Restaurant Eerste Klas. I enjoy looking at the trains out the windows, the old wood paneling and amazing high ceiling from the old first class waiting room, the clocks of different world time zones, the cockatoo. The food, though not adventurous, is always very good quality and tasty and reasonably priced. Also quite a good variety of choices or everything, from drinks to salads to desserts. Service can be a little slow on the floor but the food always seems to come very fast once ordered. Everyone I have brought here has also loved it.

When we arrived at the restaurant we were shown to a table in an entirely different section with no other people and no “ambience” compared to the main restaurant which was “buzzing”. My conclusion was that we were being driven differentiated as “Fork discount” customers and it left me feeling a bit concerned. I needn’t have worried though as this part of the restaurant eventually filled up and I could not fault the quality of food or the service, both of which were excellent. Thank you !!!

Always great to take visitors here - they're always surprised to see this gem of a restaurant hidden inside the station.

The food here is amazing—full of flavor and clearly made with care. You can tell they pay attention to every little detail, from the presentation to the ingredients. Everything felt fresh and well thought out. Even the small things, like the sauce or sides, were on point. Great vibe, super friendly staff. Definitely coming back!

Very fancy restaurant inside the train station. The right place to have a very formal meal if it needs to be close to the train stations.
