Fiddlesticks Restaurant & Bar

Very helpful and friendly staff, great for a pre dinner drink and sit down to some great food, made this a cool dinner spot for our workplace. We would all go back again as it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

After a day of strolling in Christchurch, it was time for dinner. A local foreigner hosted us for dinner and we decided to go to this restaurant. I changed into formal clothes and came here. The restaurant is not very big. There are 4 sets of meals, steak, lamb chops, cod and seafood rice. I ordered one of each. The lamb chops were cooked 3 times, which tasted heavenly. It melted in your mouth like ice cream, without any smell of mutton. The steak and cod were also delicious, mainly because the meat was so good. Finally, we ordered 2 bottles of white wine, 1000 New Zealand dollars a bottle. We drank one glass after another, and the foreigner felt a little painful [grin]

The dishes are really local and the price/performance ratio is very good. The three of us were very full and enjoyed the meal. The taste and the portion were very satisfying. I think the First Restaurant must be checked in, it is very worthwhile.

The price/performance ratio is OK. Among the steaks I had in New Zealand, the seasoning is probably the most suitable for Chinese tastes. The portion of the ribeye is very affordable. The portion is twice that of the Internet celebrity flame in Queenstown. The meat texture is slightly inferior to flame, but the seasoning and cooking time are better than flame. In addition, the cooking here in New Zealand is 70% of the domestic cooking. Remember to order medium less. I recommend eating this ribeye. The tea after the meal is of very good quality. The tea hairs are clearly visible. The boss is attentive to the tea. Many Chinese people probably didn't choose the tea after the meal.

This is a really great restaurant. I stumbled into it by accident. It's near where I live. It was the first restaurant I came across when I went out to look for food! Business is very good. You know, you can't even find a ghost in the city of Christchurch during the day, but this restaurant is very lively and popular. Many locals have dinner there and they are dressed very formally. We were all wearing jackets and running shoes. In contrast, I felt like I was in trouble, haha. The waiters were all young and handsome, and they were very nice. They squatted next to me... I was flattered. I have encountered such kneeling service twice in Christchurch. There is nothing to say about their service. Full marks. When we were almost done, the young handsome guy would come to ask if we were satisfied. As for the dishes, they tasted great! I think New Zealand food is pretty good and the price is also reasonable. Unlike Switzerland, the scenery is amazing but the food is expensive and unpalatable. I will patronize this restaurant again if I go to Christchurch next time.
