Good to see a place with real vegetarian choices. The yuba was nice, simple and fresh. Staff took their time to go over the menu with me, which I appreciated. 👍

Been here a few times for lunch with friends. Food is decent, nothing fancy. Good spot if you're already shopping in the area and need a quick bite.

Came here after a day in Nikko. The ramen bowl was huge! Honestly, I was surprised by the portion size for the price. It's definitely a spot to eat and go, not hang out. Filled me right up.

Tucked away from the main path, so it took us a minute to find it. But that quiet, woodsy spot? It was actually perfect for catching up with my friends. We could actually hear each other talk!

A warm manju right by Tobu Nikko station. The quick-moving queue makes it a perfect little stop.

This place is tiny, but that's part of the appeal. The building is a registered cultural property, which was the coolest part for me. Grabbed a coffee and just enjoyed the atmosphere.

The picture menu in English was a lifesaver. I could just point and order without any stress. Staff were really sweet about it too.

Love the vibe here. It's a small family-run place, feels very warm and lived-in. The staff are genuinely nice, just like you're visiting someone's home. A really comfortable spot to unwind.

The terrace is perfect for a lazy afternoon. Had their matcha cake set, the breeze from the lake was so nice. Just sat there for an hour, felt really peaceful.

A local Japanese cafe with an English menu. The matcha latte was a bit too sweet for me, but I appreciate that they use real, high-quality matcha powder. You can taste the freshness. A nice, quiet spot to unwind.

The fried rice cooked in the same pan after the steak was the best part. Soaked up all that Wagyu flavor. Really made the dish.

Tried the mizu yokan here after a few other old shops. Mitsuyama's has a really rich flavor, and the balance is just right.

Been coming here for years. The curry beef set is always exactly what I expect, and that's why I keep coming back.

Stopped by late after other spots closed. The garlic rice was really good, and the fried garlic on the steak added a nice punch. Solid, filling food for a cold night. Staff were quick and understood my English.

Booked a table for a Friday evening. The place was full right after opening, so glad we had a reservation. The lighting was just right, not too dim or bright, which made the whole room feel really relaxed.

The carbonara portion was generous for the price. Pasta was al dente, sauce rich. Felt like a good deal for a casual weeknight dinner.

The pork don was solid, and the local sourcing shows. Their house sake selection paired nicely with the rich flavors. Good spot for the view.

Came for the vintage vibe, stayed for the desserts. The owner recommended a local sweet wine that paired beautifully with their signature cake. A lovely, quiet spot for an afternoon treat.

Stopped by for lunch. The mushroom and vegetable tempura was really good, crispy and light. Bell's pilaf smelled great too. Nice spot near the Imperial Villa.

The yuba udon was a nice surprise. The broth had a deep, savory flavor, and the udon noodles were cooked just right—still firm. The yuba was delicate and soaked up the soup nicely. A really comforting bowl.

The gyoza here are special. You can tell the dressing is made in-house, it has this bright, fresh taste that really comes through. The whole place just feels uncomplicated and honest. A nice spot when you want something simple but thoughtful.

The omakase was a nice surprise! Loved how they used local veggies and fish. The grilled fish was so good, we kept talking about it even after we left. A bit quiet for a group chat, but perfect for a chill catch-up.

A family-run place, very cozy. The staff were so kind, made us feel right at home. The calm atmosphere was just what we needed before heading into the park. A nice, quiet spot.

Good spot right by the bridge. Beef bowl hit the spot on a chilly day. Quick service, got my order fast. Just what I needed for a quick lunch break.

Yuba sashimi was the standout. Simple presentation, just a dab of wasabi and soy. Texture was clean and fresh. Good introduction to local cuisine for visitors.

The owner was super nice and explained all the craft beers to us. It was a chill place to hang out. But honestly, the beers were a bit pricey for the size of the pour. I expected a bit more for what we paid.

The beef stew was really good! The gravy had a nice savory soy sauce flavor, not too sweet. Loved the hot homemade bread with it.

Such a cute little spot! The couple running it are so sweet, you can watch them make the pizza right in front of you. Perfect for a chill catch-up with friends. The vibe is just really warm and welcoming.
