the ambience, scenery, location, setting is a 5 stars for sure.. the food was good but my only deception was the cod fish.. the menu should have emphasised this was not fresh cod but salted cod. The server did mention the dish was salty but there's a huge difference between being salty and not fresh fish. That part of the meal completely threw us off of what could have been an exceptional experience.

We showed up early for our lunch reservation and they could not accomodate us as the kitchen is prepared for only so many guests at a time. The restaurant itself had adequate places open. Coming to the food the lobster rice was delicious as was the oven roasted goat leg. However the goat leg was unevenly cooked with some parts being very dry. With the appetizers we had varied experiences. The prawns were just prawns. The mushrooms were an interesting mix. The tomato soup was delicious but a joke in terms of its quantity. The service was professional and to the point. The senior wait staff was well trained, while the younger bunch needs work. Can't say they're were warm or friendly.
We enjoyed a meal here for our honeymoon and it exceeded all expectations. From the food, wine (and somm recommendations) to the staff - we loved our experience here.

There were four of us in the party. We were on a river cruise and decided to get off the ship and eat in town. This restaurant had quite a few good ratings. Getting the reservation was very easy on line. I think I did the reservation about one month before.Itwas difficult finding the restaurant. We walked through town and not very good signage but we finally found it.We all had the degustation menu with the wine pairings. All was excellent. Katarina was our server and was wonderful. I am sorry I cannot remember the somm name but his pairings were spot on.Definitely recommend it and would go here again.
