El Mirlo Blanco

Great restaurant in a quiet and relaxed atmosphere a little away from everything, in the middle of nature. The food is good and the portions are generous. The price is very good

The area and the food are 10/10 for me. The waiters are super nice, everything is clean and great... we will keep coming back... one of my must-haves in Candeleda

Today we had lunch with the family at El Mirlo Blanco, in Candeleda (Ávila), a beautiful setting. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented, although there are two "buts" I'll mention at the end. Starters: - Salmon salad with cheese-stuffed figs ???? - Salad with prawns (it needed a bit more flavor). ???? Main Courses: - Tuna tartare with avocado (spectacular). ???? - Beef burger with caramelized onions and goat cheese, Mirlo. ???? - Grilled Iberian pork secret with Parmesan cheese. ???? - Stuffed baby squid. ???? - Homemade Iberian ham croquettes (children's menu). ???? Desserts: - Apple-stuffed empanadas. ???? - Donut French toast. ???? - White chocolate coulan with red berries. ???? - Cheesecake. (A bit sparse and too compact for my taste) ???? And now I'll tell you the 2 "BUTS" I'm going to mention. I won't say anything about the prices of the dishes, because there's quality, quantity, and very good presentation, buuuut... - Access is a small road with potholes (I assume this falls under the City Council's jurisdiction) ???? - The bread. I was TERRIBLE that they charged me 1 euro for each slice of bread (a regular loaf, totaling 5 euros). I hadn't asked for it, nor were we warned that it would be charged, nor did I see it posted anywhere. ???????????? The waiter (all very friendly and very good service, by the way) told me he'd pass it on to management. I'll definitely come back, but I hope that, at least regarding the bread, if they can fix it, they won't charge for it next time. Do I recommend it for 95% of the time?

We had lunch and dinner there over two days and loved everything we tried: the tuna tartar, the various salads, and the lobster rice. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the service was attentive and attentive to every detail.

The products are excellent. The meat recommended off the menu is delicious. The staff is very friendly, and the surroundings are very welcoming.
