Celebr&aacute;bamos San Juan. Y a mis padres, ya mayores, les ha encantado comer en este restaurante toda la vida. Para las grandes celebraciones con ellos, me gusta elegir de lo bueno, lo mejor. Y hasta el s&ntilde;o pr&oacute;ximo.

We were celebrating San Juan. And my parents, who are now elderly, have loved eating at this restaurant all their lives. For big celebrations with them, I like to choose from the best, the best. And until next year.

Hoy es mi cumplea&ntilde;os y he invitado a mis padres, ya mayores, y se que les encanta comer en este lugar. Las cocochas buen&iacute;simas y la paletilla un manjar. Muy buena comida de cumplea&ntilde;os. Espero repetir el pr&oacute;ximo a&ntilde;o.

Today is my birthday and I have invited my parents, who are already older, and I know that they love to eat here. The cocochas are delicious and the paleta is a delicacy. A very good birthday meal. I hope to repeat it next year.

Hac&iacute;a tiempo que no com&iacute;amos unas cocochas al pil pil tan bien hechas. Gelatinosas y ligeras, sin harina. El rebozado de los bu&ntilde;uelos de bacalao era muy ligero, pero le sobraba un poco de aceite. La tarta de manzana era una delicia. El local estaba impoluto, pero no entiendo el motivo de que tuvieran las cortinas echadas, quiz&aacute;s quedar&iacute;a m&aacute;s acogedor y soleado de abrirlas. Hab&iacute;a bastante gente cuando fuimos, pero el servicio fue bastante ligero. Muy recomendable.

It&#39;s been a while since we had such well-made cocochas al pil pil. Gelatinous and light, without flour. The batter on the cod fritters was very light, but there was a bit too much oil. The apple pie was delicious. The place was spotless, but I don&#39;t understand why they had the curtains drawn, perhaps it would be more welcoming and sunny if they were open. 
There were quite a few people when we went, but the service was quite light. 

Highly recommended.

A lovely, genuine Spanish restaurant with excellent waiting staff. Definitely worth a visit, the Artichoke starter is brilliant. My only comment would be that I think they could go further with the main courses and be a little more creative with presentation and flavour combinations - it felt a little safe, brilliantly executed, but safe.

The food was simple but adequate. Everything was good, nothing particularly special. The service was very pleasant and attentive. The dishes were served quickly and the price was reasonable.
