Had a lovely birthday diner here, the service was excellent and the food also amazing not to mention its was a gorgeous place! 10/10 can’t wait to be back!

Innovative Andalucían cuisine with excellent ingredients. Superb and knowledgeable staff. Quality wines. Prices not much higher than the average chiringuito in the area but quality is at a complete lay different level to anything I’ve had in the Mijas/Fuengirola area

A new addition to the restaurant scene, Picador is well worth the trip to the Mijas golf. Do not be deceived, the pictures online do not do the location justice. In a modern interpretation of Andalusian architecture, with cool lighting, and a central bar area where the starters and desserts are prepared, and a superb collection of wines in full view, Picador offers comfortable dining, giving local ingredients a modern and delicious twist. Try the avocado gazpachuelo frio, which combines amazing flavours with a ceviche of the fresh fish of the day, or the parpatana de atún rojo con salsa de carne picante y chucrut casero - it’s extraordinary! The wine list has been composed with taste and flare and English-speaking staff are on hand to offer advice on the choice to accompany your dish or preferences. I love Spanish rosés negras, and was bowled over by fresh taste of plums and red fruits of Moscatel Negro D.O. Sierras de Málaga, Rosado Schatz 2022.One trip to Picador was not enough. We are heading there again tonight!
