The atmosphere of the place is special and the staff extremely helpful. If you are in the area and want to eat in a nice environment, this is the right place. Recommended!

TheForkUserI’ve been going to the Nil Bleu for more than 10 years and I’ve always enjoyed their food and friendly service. It feels a bit like being at home at a friend’s. Their new location is smaller but very cozy, and the upper dining room is super pleasant. I love that you can say « vegan and gluten-free » and they know what you mean. Better yet, that’s what their traditional food is all about. If you like it spicy, mention it when ordering.

TheForkUserThe owner did not want to offer the buffet if we reserved with the yums. My yums were supposed to pay for 35 cfs of the bill, regardless the choice of menu and the drinks, but the owner excluded the buffet and the drinks. We could only choose from the regular menu. This restaurant only seems a good option if you choose the buffet (all you can eat) if not, it is extremely expensive for absolutely random food. What they call Szechuan is far from it, same for the pepper sauce, both seem out from a grocery bottle. The buffet looked more appealing and people around us were eating three or four times more than the regular menu portions.

We enjoyed our evening there but the food was good for some but unfortuantely the steak was quite chewy with tendons etc. The other dishes were fine and but a little watch out on conistency in terms of quality.

TheForkUserWe booked for brunch at 14h30. The lady serving us was alone and looked overwhelmed even though there were only two tables of clients. There was hardly anything left to order on the menu. We ordered one of the few things available, ie avocado toast with scrambled eggs and it was ok, but the bread was not toasted and the portion of scrambled eggs was very small and cold because it was left on the counter for a while before she served us. I think it could be a nice place if the service was more organized and efficient and the atmosphere more welcoming.
