Excellent food, well cooked and presented and very friendly service. Good, modern surroundings and a relaxed ambience. We will be returning.

We loved our meal here! The service was great and the food was really really good - I had a Lamb Bhuna which was the best over ever had! The lamb was tender to the point it was falling apart and the sauce was beautifully balanced. Will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful food, excellent service and recently refurbished. I did love the old Lal Jomi, complete with traditional music and ceiling drapes, but time moves on. The new version is fresh and bright, and the drapes have been replaced by street art. Very Bristol. Top marks for the owner, though. She remains the best thing about the place. Enthusiastic, friendly and engaging, she deserves to succeed and here's hoping the Lal Jomi (soon to be the Cardamom Bay) is here to stay. Love it.

Always treated extremely well at Lal Jomi, staff are incredibly helpful and are very welcoming and pleasant.Food is REALLY top class, perfectly cooked with passion, the flavours are fantastic.Some of the atmosphere has been lost due to a interior style change, which is a shame as the atmosphere adds to the experience, though a member of staff mentioned they're are looking into improve this soon.Of all the restaurants I've eaten at, this is the most enjoyable, as great food and great staff REALLY make it special.
