Booked a table for 4 x adults for a family roast. Greeted by friendly staff, shown to our table, waitress service which was great so didn’t have to keep going to the bar to order drinks/food. Excellent roast dinner - the best roast we have had out in norwich in a long time, lovely sticky toffee pudding and accommodated mine with pouring cream instead of ice cream! Food was great quality, great flavour and excellent portion size! Staff very friendly, attentive and approachable. Atmosphere was also great. We will absolutely be returning and looking forward to our next visit! Thankyou again to the front of house staff and chefs/kitchen staff for a lovely meal followed by drinks outside in the garden!!

ABUSIVE AND INTIMATING STAFF
i was a reg customer spending lots of money in this pub including expensive work meals and family gatherings over the past 4-5 years However, despite being a regular customer myself and a friend received appalling services on 9 January 2025 and left a review the review highlighted the facts - when I and a friend visited the pub bar it was the coldest day of year but despite this the staff refused to light fire and just stood at bar looking at us with winter coats and hoods up next to a fire place and ample fire wood and kindling when i returned two months later with the same friend we were faced with a barrage of abuse and unprofessional conduct by the manager, telling us we had no right to leave reviews and were barred from the pub. the manager was extremely aggressive and unable to control his temper and lacks any ability to listen or reflect on customer feedback, but rather prefers to attempt to intimate customers we have have just noticed his unprofessional reply to our review which is not only inflammatory but also full of lies and abuse we would warn anyone considering using this pub to think again The current pub manager can not accept customers who have the right to leave reviews and needs to STOP BEING ABUSIVE AND INTIMATING
