Wa Dining Okan

A Japanese fast food restaurant. The grilled tofu there tastes very good. The so-called Nagoya chicken wings are actually just average. The main variety of chicken wings is not the Nagoya kind. The eel rice is too ordinary.

I took my parents to Wa Dining Okan next to the Nijiya supermarket to eat Japanese set meals. This restaurant is still very popular in San Diego, but I think the dishes are a bit salty. The taste is more authentic and the price is reasonable. Five people ate for 80 dollars.

Japanese restaurants are small, and can only accommodate more than 30 people. You have to wait in line. Each dish is carefully presented and tastes good, especially the sea urchin rice! The portion of each dish is so small. Since there are two growing boys, the first order is not enough, so we ordered again. In the end, the bill was a bit expensive.

Okan continues to be one of my favourite Japanese restaurant in San Diego. They serve home style cooking and their dishes are different from the standard Japanese. Service is good but the restaurant is very small
