What travelers say:
I went here twice during my one week stay because the food was so good I could NOT get enough. The lunch menu was superb with the ability to pick and choose the taco of your choice along with tons of other options but why even mess with a classic. Then for dinner they had platos that were absolutely perfection. The chips are that perfect thin-crispy that you just cannot get enough of and the range of salsas and dips will leave you wanting more.

Tropisueno, a Mexican food gem in the downtown area, has great service and is located in the heart of downtown, right across from the Jewish Museum. The only downside is that the dinner was too dark and I couldn't see what I ate at all [covering my face] but it was very cost-effective. Ceviche De Camarones, fresh iron plate shrimp, garlic, onion and special mango juice were made, which was very delicious. Chicken with Mole Poblano is a Mexican specialty chicken with rice. The portion is large and tasty, and the size surprised us. Mole poblano is a very distinctive Mexican sauce. The story behind it is this: In the city of Puebla, nuns in a monastery heard that the bishop was coming and wanted to cook something delicious for him, but they were too poor and had nothing to serve him, so the nuns got a lot of chili peppers, spices, nuts, expired bread, and a little bit of chocolate, slaughtered a donkey, and cooked them all together. The bishop ate with gusto and asked what the dish was called. The nun said she cooked mole (this word used to mean a hodgepodge). Since then, this has become Puebla's famous dish.
The prices are reasonable, the service is good, the food is delicious, I really like this place.
