The George

It was our first visit to The George since it was refurbished and we were very impressed with the decor and layout of the premises. Del, the manager, should be very proud of his staff who were all very welcoming and helpful.The food, we chose the wine and dine experience for £100, was excellent from starter to dessert, with an excellent wine to accompany it.We will definitely be making another booking as it is definitely a place that you would want to continue visiting..

Like the refurb. The staff were excellent and very attentive.Car park becoming a euro car park is annoying but guess they must have had issues…

Lovely pub, beautifully decorated lovely atmosphere, food delicious although one of our party had half a chicken that I thought was rather small but they enjoyed the food

Myself and my husband went for dinner with another couple, and sat inside. The food was excellent, we had all 3 courses, steak and sea bass was in there. The wine was also very good. The service was very good. Couldn't fault it really. More expensive than we would usually go for, but it was worth it.

Could not fault the service or food but feel aggrieved about the fact that after parking in the car park at back in a disabled space we then had to hike all round to the front of the building to get in. Why is there not a door in from the car park.
