Inside a medieval old house, there is a really good afternoon tea restaurant called The Going Bar & Lounge. I came here to check in with my bestie.
The British royal family has also eaten at this restaurant, of course that was a long time ago. You must order the beef Wellington there, it is very delicious. I ordered many dishes and they all tasted good and very authentic.
This restaurant, located in The Goring Hotel, has a low profile in the London dining world. It follows the conservative traditional British cooking style and is loved by the royal family. I think The Goring Dining Room has a great environment and is a good choice for business talks or meeting with friends you don't know very well. But if you want food, you don't need to go there specially.
Highly knowedgeable staff, outstanding service without the "hovering" of other comparable restaurants. The food never disappoints nor does the ambient music which is non-intrusive with cool jazz vibes. A great way to spend an evening in a tasteful setting.
This was a wonderful experience. We loved every second of being there - from the warm welcome all the way down to a nice chocolate complementary good-buy. Ambience is nice and charming! The meal was just perfect, I’d say the right word was “divine!”If I ever come back to London, this restaurant is on my list. A definite “yes” to go! Irina and Vitalii, Seattle, WA.
