The Midland

No matter how fancy your afternoon tea is, it probably won’t be better than the afternoon tea at the Octagon Lounge of the Midland Hotel. In this historic and famous hotel, you can not only enjoy the unique atmosphere, but also enjoy the city view!

The table seated all 8 of us for our meal after getting married. It was in a lovely intimate area of the pub, windows open giving a lovely breeze on a hot day, views of the river. The food and service were excellent. Minor point, as the staff were actually lovely, but it would have been nice if they had poured the wine for us. Apart from that everything was fabulous 😊

Megan was our server & was very pleasant and polite: she was very attentive to our needs. Greg & Georgia were the chefs and the food was absolutely delicious.The chairs were comfortable and the restaurant is lovely &airy.

Great ambience, well laid out tables offering privacy to hold a conversation. Good choice on the menu. All courses were delicious and plentiful. We will definitely be returning.

Our first time at the midland, fast friendly service, had sunday lunch meat trio- good selection of meats and veg overall great service and great food will definately return
