What travelers say:
A whole world of ice and snow, seemingly continuous snow-capped mountains🏔️, but actually snow slopes, climbing snow-capped mountains is a great experience!!! The scenery is super good, limited edition skin.
Frost hangs on the trees, the sun shines on them, against the blue sky, lying on the snow, photos really can't capture that beautiful feeling.
Route:
Take bus🚌101 to the entrance of Flotterstone Inn, Turnhouse Hill - go down the mountain - walk back to Flotterstone Inn along the river.
Difficulty:
1. The route is clear (there is only one route up the mountain, just follow the direction and road of the people climbing in front of you, the first downhill fence appears after climbing the second hill, just follow it and walk to the river)
2. Some sections are very slippery with thin ice, be careful; most sections have snow and you can walk slowly; it took four hours to walk and take pictures.
Equipment:
Waterproof mid-cut hiking shoes, snow gaiter. Wearing snow gaiter will cause snow to get into the socks and make you cold. Hiking poles can prevent falls. Wear a hat and thick gloves in case of strong winds. Fleece-lined windproof hiking pants. Thick hiking clothes (0-5 degrees)

🇬🇧Newbridge | A Michelin-starred gem hidden away by gourmets✨ Tucked away in the heart of the Scottish Highlands lies this discreet Michelin-plated restaurant! 🏠Restaurant: Pentland Restaurant 📍Location: 1 High St, Newbridge EH28 8PB (red brick building diagonally opposite the church) ⏰Open: Wednesday to Sunday 12:00-14:30 / 18:00-21:00 💰Per person: £35-£55 The chef, a native of Granard Island, uses modern techniques to interpret traditional Scottish cuisine: his signature slow-cooked Highland beef cheek is smoky with the aroma of whiskey oak barrels, and the accompanying leek puree is laced with black truffles! For a must-try appetizer, the salmon tartare is made from locally caught salmon and served with elderflower pickled red onions. 🤤 💡The Real Experience: - A wall of Scottish single malt whiskies is hidden behind the bar. - Book a window table in advance to watch the sunset over the River Forth. - The chef personally comes to check on your dining experience, so thoughtful! We discovered a secret private room on the second floor, perfect for anniversaries! On your way back, be sure to pick up a jar of handmade toffee from MacKay's, the century-old confectionery shop in town. #ScottishFood #MichelinRestaurants #HighlandsTravel #BritishUniqueRestaurants #FoodHealsAll

Our tea for two was excellent my wife and myself really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this to anyone it was an excellent day out for ourselves. The service and food was excellent.
Had a fantastic meal here last week, food was excellent as was the service. My first time at the Dalmahoy hotel and the Pentland restaurant and I will definitely be back again!
Great Location - Shame about the food !After waiting two months to have this afternoon tea and hearing glowing reviews about the hotel the excitement was high. Oh what a disappointment! The selection for two grown people was sparse to say the least, the overall presentation was rushed , and to top it all off, the food from top to bottom was dry with the sandwiches tasting like they’d been on the service line for hours. The overall quality of the Afternoon Tea and actually all of the meals during our four night stay was very poor indeed. What a disappointment that the Dalmahoy doesn’t live up to it’s reputation!
