Came here after a rough night and it only took a breakfast bowl to snap me out of it! Of course, the hot coffee and iced water didn&apos;t hurt! The breakfast bowl was delicious and hearty. Our server did a great job at a pleasant pace. We would come back here anytime!

The food was mediocre. We had the pretzels and fondue; the salmon entre and a Caesar salad. My cocktail was delicious however.

Disappointed

My husband and I visited Culinary Dropout on a Wednesday around 2pm. It wasn&apos;t very busy, so we were seated right away. The woman who seated us was really nice.  Our server was a nice young guy who was very friendly and patient whilst we were looking over the menu to decide what to get. My husband is British so of course he went for the fish and chips! I just wanted something small, so I opted for the crusty bread with garlic oil & balsamic. We didn&apos;t have to wait very long for our food. The crusty bread was so good and cooked to perfection! My husband enjoyed his fish and chips. It also came with coleslaw which he said was really tasty. (Usually he isn&apos;t big on coleslaw.) The chips (fries) were crispy and well seasoned. The fish was battered perfectly and had a nice crunch.  The restaurant itself was very clean and has a great vibe about it. We loved the decor so much! They also had fires going where they have their outdoor seating area. My husband enjoyed how you can see where all the chefs/cooks are cooking.  We would definitely recommend Culinary Dropout if you&apos;re in or around the Domain area. Prices suit the Domain area.

We arrived at 12:30pm on Sunday, Oct 27th and asked for a table outside as we had our dog with us. They have two outside options, we wanted the area by the door (which I pointed to) and had 9 open tables. We were told it would be 45 min. When I asked why since there were 9 open tables, I was told they had a list of reservations. We went back at 12:45 and put our name down, and again told it would be 45 min. 15 min later we were buzzed that our table was ready - he was going to have us seated in the other much louder and more crowded outside area. I asked if we could sit in the other outside area, now having 6 open tables. We weren&apos;t led to a table for two, but told to choose between two tables for 4.  I don&apos;t understand why this even had to happen. I didn&apos;t appreciate the aloofness of the host, nor the fact that they clearly did not listen. When we left, there were still 6 open tables outside. Also, the fish and chips just did not taste right, I didn&apos;t finish my meal and was sick the next day.

Rude Uninformed Host

Some of the best food in Austin. Be warned: the plates are HUGE. I had the fried chicken, 3 big pieces and 2 sides, enough for 2. My wife got the rack of ribs, with 3 good racks and 2 sides too, also enough for 2. Both were excellent, but left us with no room for dessert! The only downside was the noise level, intense sitting inside. I&apos;d recommend going outside, but you may need to mention that when you make a reservation or get on the wait list.

This restaurant is located in the upstart area of ​​Austin, Texas, called Domain. It is famous for its luxury goods and bar street. Of course, it is not just a street, it is surrounded by food and brand stores.

They have a good variety of vegan and other options. Was good that some of the salad ingredients were separate in the bowl so you could mix them or not.
