American bakeries feel a bit rough, and they really can't compare to French dessert shops. Even many domestic shops can't compare. And people here really like sweet food. All desserts are sweet, but they don't think so. No wonder most of them are overweight, it's really high in calories. The four of us each chose 2 breads, and in the end, only 2 of them were delicious. I can't say they were very delicious, but they were just okay. The others were quite sweet. But there was a big apple on the bread display stand, wrapped in a circle of chocolate, and then covered with candy particles all around, with a wooden stick inserted, like a huge lollipop, very cute. Later, when I was eating a buffet in Las Vegas, there were also the same apple lollipops in the dessert area, and I tried one decisively. Haha, it's not delicious, it's just a flashy apple. Does it think it's not an apple just because it's wearing a fancy coat? This is a well-reviewed bakery in Carmel, but the quality is really disappointing.
