The charcoal-grilled yakitori had a nice smoky taste and was juicy inside. Tried a few different skewers.

A family-run spot, very cozy. The staff were friendly and efficient. Had the daily special pasta, it was solid. Good for a quick, no-fuss meal.

The weekday all-you-can-eat sushi is a solid deal. The chefs prepare it fresh, and I liked being able to order specific toppings.

The wine selection was impressive, especially the Domaine Takahiko from Yoichi. A nice, relaxed spot to enjoy a glass.

Just across from Yoichi Station, super convenient. The room felt spacious for Japan, which was a nice surprise. Staff were friendly and the place was quiet. WiFi worked well.

The touch screen ordering was super handy when the place got packed. Just tapped in what I wanted, no waiting around to catch a waiter's eye. Made the whole thing quick and easy.

The mixed seafood fry set was pretty good. The portions were generous, and everything was crispy and hot. It reminded me of the kind of fried food you'd get at a classic Western-style place. A solid choice.

The tempura batter was super crispy, and the shrimp inside tasted fresh. I also tried their sushi, the fish quality was good. For the price, it's a solid lunch spot.

Sushi Sai Wakichi offers a remarkable omakase menu that showcases the best of Hokkaido's ingredients. The chawanmushi with crab and oysters was a highlight, and the nigiri was perfectly crafted. It's definitely worth the price for such high-quality sushi.
