Czech Krumlov Castle is a medieval castle built in 1240 in the city of the same name. The entire region was declared a national cultural monument in 1989, UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992, the largest castle in the Czech Republic except for Prague Castle. The castle contains a well preserved Baroque theater and some original sets and props. Considering its age, only one opera is performed in the theater once a year, mainly in the Baroque period.
