Jiaju Zangzhai is located in Danba County, Ganzi Prefecture. It is a Tibetan dwelling village with Jiabao Tibetan characteristics. Playing in the Tibetan village, the panoramic view on the hillside opposite the stockade is quite spectacular. After entering the Tibetan village, only a scattered Tibetan-style building can be seen. There is a layer of livestock in the bottom of the building. In turn, there are pots and pans, living rooms, halls and furniture, and some buildings also have balconies. The white walls are painted with sun, moon and stars and religious patterns, beautiful and spectacular.Danba · 5.3km from downtown

Zhonglu Tibetan Village is situated on a hillside terrace at an altitude of approx. 2100m in the Xiaojinchuan River Valley, with Mo'erduoshen Mountain in the Jiarong Tibetan area as its backdrop. "Zhonglu" is a transliteration of the Tibetan language, meaning "a place yearned for by both humans and gods." White Tibetan houses, golden-roofed temples, and ancient watchtowers are spread out in layers along the mountain, arranged in a well-ordered manner. Danba is known as the "Land of a Thousand Watchtowers," and Zhonglu Tibetan Village is the perfect place to experience the charm of these ancient watchtowers. The watchtowers, having weathered hundreds of years, stand either by the fields or side-by-side with Tibetan houses. There is an observation deck on the hillside above the village. Around sunrise, morning mist drifts between the watchtowers, stone houses, and terraced fields. In spring, when pear blossoms fill the valley, the white walls and flower shadows complement each other. Zhonglu Tibetan Village is also a village where Jiarong Tibetan customs are well-preserved: the simple yet grand coming-of-age ceremony, the lively Guozhuang dance, and the solemn ancient Tibetan opera continue to this day. On moonlit nights, young men wearing heavy woolen cloaks over their heads go in groups to girls' homes to sing songs—a long-standing courtship custom known as "Dingmushan." The associated folk songs have been listed as provincial intangible cultural heritage. There are many Tibetan-style homestays in the village. Staying for a night allows you to catch the morning mist at sunrise the next day, drink hot butter tea, and taste crispy baked buns.Danba · 4.1km from downtown

Dangling Village is a Jiarong Tibetan village surrounded by snow-capped mountains, primitive forests, and alpine lakes. The village has an elevation of approx. 3,300 m, with highland barley fields, white stupas, and prayer flags dotted among Tibetan-style wooden houses, retaining a relatively primitive appearance. Its iconic scenery consists of alpine lakes scattered throughout the valley. Among them, Huluhai Lake is named for its gourd-like shape. It sits at an elevation of approx. 4,200 m with crystal-clear water, reflecting the 5,470 m-high Xiaqiangla Snow Mountain on the opposite shore. From the village, you need to pass through a primitive forest dense with fir and rhododendron trees, passing by the Feijiping Meadow andGanhaizi, and it takes several hours of hiking to arrive. You can also hire a local horse caravan or ride a motorcycle into the mountains. Continuing upward from Huluhai Lake for over an hour, you will reach Zhuoyongcuo Lake, which is shaped like a crescent moon and sits at an elevation of approx. 4,300 m. The trail conditions are more rugged, making it suitable for advanced hikers with good physical stamina. The colorful forests in the village usually appear in mid-to-late October, with fiery red maple leaves and golden larch trees framed alongside the azure lake water and snow-capped peaks. In May and June, rhododendrons bloom in large patches in the mountains. After returning from your hike, you can visit the natural hot springs deep in the forest near the village: the spring water is scalding hot and carries a sulfur scent, gathering into small pools with a comfortable temperature, with steam swirling among the fir trees.Danba · 51km from downtown

Danba Beauty Valley is located in Badi Township, about 26 kilometers away from Danba County. Badi Township currently has 22 village committees, each with its own flavor. Among them, the Tusi Guanzhai in Qiongshan Village has been rebuilt in recent years. In the scenic area, natural and cultural landscapes such as snow-capped mountains, grasslands, Haizi, hot springs, rivers, Tibetan villages, and watchtowers are rich and diverse. Mordo Mountain in Danba is a very famous sacred mountain in Jiarong Tibetan area. The mountain is surrounded by 65 peaks, and the gorgeous and colorful scenery is very beautiful. Around these beautiful scenery, there are countless moving stories and legends. Many years ago, a divine bird flew to Mount Mordo, and then turned into thousands of beautiful and charming fairies, so the bottom of Mount Mordo became a place of beauty. According to records, when the Western Xia Dynasty fell, a large number of royal relatives and concubines fled from the distant Ningxia to Danba, which is located in the deep mountains and valleys of the Hengduan Mountains with mild climate and beautiful mountains and rivers. The so-called Beauty Valley of course means that there are many beauties. In recent years, due to the rapid development of the country, many handsome men and beautiful women have already gone abroad to work hard, so the beauty footprints of Danba Beauty Valley are all over the world.Danba · 22.9km from downtown

Suopo Tibetan Village is located on the roadside from Kangding to Danba, dozens of kilometers away from Danba County. "Suopo" means "Mongolian" in Tibetan. It is said that a large number of Mongolians used to graze here in ancient times, hence the name. There are a total of 84 watchtowers in Suopo, which is a place where ancient watchtowers are concentrated in the whole Danba and even in the world, including the five-cornered watchtowers, and its value is self-evident. The towers are majestic and majestic against the blue sky and white clouds. They have endured hundreds of years or even thousands of years of wind and rain, wars and various tests. Mr. Ren Naiqiang, a well-known historian and Tibetan scholar in my country, described the ancient Suopo fortresses as follows: "On the slope of a mountain bend, it is not easy for outsiders to come to the mountains. The chimney forest of the Pudong factory is a great spectacle." Walking into the ancient tower, looking up, under the blue sky and white clouds, the towering ancient tower stands tall and straight in the sky, looking down and looking around, the hidden houses in the green fields and the towering ancient towers contrast with each other.Danba · 5.4km from downtown

The Dujiangyan Irrigation System is located along the main branch of the Lancang River, west of Dujiangyan City. It was constructed in the Qin dynasty around 256 BC by Li Bing, Prefecture Chief of Shu County, and his son. It is one of the few ancient Chinese water conservancy projects that has remained preserved and intact. The project consists of three primary works—Yuzui Diverting Embankment, the Feishayan Spillway, and the Baopingkou Water Inlet, and two secondary works which include the Baizhangdi (the thousand-feet dam) and Renzidi (the y-shaped dam). They divide the Yongjiang River into an outer and an inner branch, the former of which is used to divert floods and the latter for irrigation. This has allowed the Western Sichuan plateau to become "the land of abundance" as we now know it.China · Dujiangyan

Mount Qingcheng

Mount Qingcheng has long been praised as "Tranquil Paradise under Heaven," with its peaks encircling like city walls—hence the name. Legend says Zhang Daoling of the Eastern Han dynasty established Taoism here in a thatched hut, making it the ancestral home of Celestial Master Taoism, where temple incense still burns today. The mountain divides into front and back sections: the front features Taoist temples and cultural relics, commonly referred to as "Mount Qingcheng" by most travelers; the back excels in natural landscapes like pools, waterfalls, streams, and gorges, making it ideal for hiking and summer retreats. The highlights of Qianshan are concentrated. Starting from Jianfu Palace beside the mountain gate, follow the ancient stone steps upward past Natural Picture, Tianshi Cave, Chaoyang Cave, and Shangqing Palace, with the summit's Laojun Pavilion as the final vantage point. Tianshi Cave, also called Changdao Temple, is one of the mountain's largest Taoist complexes—its front courtyard holds a millennium-old ginkgo tree allegedly planted by Zhang Daoling, while the cliffside Ink-throwing Trough behind is said to be where the celestial master drew mountains with vermilion ink. Painting master Zhang Daqian once resided at Shangqing Palace, styling himself "Guest of Qingcheng." At the mountain's base, Yuecheng Lake's mirror-like waters add ethereal beauty to the lush greenery. The rear mountain entrance is the quaint Tai'an ancient town. From here, the trails connect Wulong gully and Feiquan gully into a loop, with views like Misty spring triple pools, Double spring water curtain cave, and Hundred-zhang long bridge accompanied by the sounds of water and shaded woods. The Longyin gorge walkway built along cliffs overlooks rushing streams below, making it a dedicated hiking route. The mountain stays pleasantly cool even in midsummer. The front mountain and back mountain entrances are not connected, usually requiring separate itineraries. Most 1-day tours choose one of the two. The front mountain's main temples can be visited in half a day, while the back mountain loop is longer and requires reserving most of a day. Travelers wishing to see the sunrise often ascend the mountain a day early, staying overnight at mountain temples for convenient morning viewing.China · Dujiangyan

From the moment you enter the village gate, your driving skills will be put to the test. It's all winding mountain roads with sharp S-shaped uphill turns, so drive carefully. There's a guesthouse parking lot at viewing platform number 5; it costs 10 yuan to enter and overlook the entire village. The view is quite good, so it's worth the visit.

📍 Location: Mordo Mountain Town, Danba County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province, the core area of Zhonglu Tibetan Village, at an altitude of 1700-5000 meters. Moska, the whole village is built around the ancient Jinlong Temple. Under the leadership of the spiritual leader Riqiong Living Buddha, the herdsmen live a life of working from sunrise to sunset, pure and simple. The villagers of Moska believe in Tibetan Buddhism and never kill. Jinlong Temple is the spiritual sustenance and carrier of faith of the villagers of Moska. The villagers believe that marmots are the incarnation of gods, so they take very good care of them. The marmots here are very spiritual. They often walk on the grass and stop tourists for food. They will worship when they see people, play with you, and take pictures with you with cute expressions. They are the cutest wild animals in Moska Village. Here, temples, villages, grasslands, rivers, lakes, snow-capped mountains, humans, and animals live in harmony and integrate. If you savor it carefully, you will find that there are many beautiful things here.

There are not many purely natural scenic spots without commercial operations in China. Sichuan Beauty Valley is definitely worth a visit. The villagers are simple and kind. The mountain road up the mountain is a one-way street with a two-way intersection. If you have enough time, drive slowly.

I went there during the off-season and walked up the mountain along a winding dirt road. I couldn't find the tower, so I asked a local resident and he showed me the way. I walked through the backyard of a resident's house, went into the kitchen, climbed the stairs, went up the hanging ladder, and climbed to the roof. Finally, I saw the tower.

I brought my parents here for a visit. The garden is huge, with a beautiful garden structure and design. The poet's calligraphy is still fresh and elegant, the bamboo forest is secluded, and the orchids are still fragrant. Climbing Wanfu Tower, you can see the entire city of Chengdu. It's so relaxing and enjoyable!
