Itinerary
Discover the Q'eswachaka Inca Rope Bridge on a full-day tour from Cusco. Learn about the bridge's history and significance, and stop at scenic lagoons and the Pabellones volcano along the way.

Start your day with a hotel pickup in Cusco and head south, stopping at a local restaurant after 2 hours for breakfast. Next, make a stop at the Pampamarca, Asnacqocha, Acopía, and Pomacanchi lagoons. Continue to the Pabellones volcano, near the picturesque village of Yanaoca.

Continue to the Q'ewe district, where you'll reach your destination for the day: the famous Q'eswachaka Inca Bridge. The bridge, which is made from handwoven grass rope, spans 118 feet across the Apurimac Canyon and was part of the complex Inca road system that connected the different cities of the historic empire.

It is unique in that it is the last remaining bridge that remains from this era, and its importance has been recognized by the local communities who reconstruct it every June according to ancient tradition. This also means that despite its age, it is perfectly safe to cross.

Leaving Q'eswachaka behind, make one last stop to enjoy a buffet lunch, before returning to your hotel in Cusco for around 5 PM.
