I used this in KL, Bangkok and Shanghai. Overall the signal was ok. Sometimes we do get a drop out but it’s not often. We managed to use all social media platforms with this eSIM at Shanghai. Only thing is if you want to hail a ride you’ll need a number for it in china.★

I used it for about seven hours in the city and at the airport after arriving in Kuala Lumpur. Activating it on an iPhone was very easy, even after purchasing it through the app. As soon as I landed at the airport, I turned off airplane mode and turned on data roaming, and I was able to connect to the internet within a minute. I believe it was a CelcomDigi network. 5G is available, but since the server is located outside of Malaysia, it's not super fast. Aside from a slight lag while riding the KLIA Express, it worked pretty well. Considering the price, I think it's sufficient. If you want the same ease of use in Malaysia as you do in Japan, I recommend purchasing it at a local carrier shop.★
