To put it mildly, it was fantastic. First of all, the price was low, and I was able to travel around Italy without stress by choosing a plan with 1GB of data per day. Setup was also very easy, and the excellent support that Trip.com offers meant I could buy with peace of mind knowing there was someone I could rely on immediately if any problems arose. I would definitely use it again the next time I go to Europe.

During this trip, I used the service in Barcelona and Seville, Spain; Faro (southern Portugal); and Lisbon, Portugal. The phone was installed on my iPhone 13 Pro Max, and connections were stable throughout. Note that these areas are not Orange's primary service areas, so roaming for the SIM card needed to be enabled, which slightly increased battery consumption. I also used my phone's hotspot for connecting my laptop, and the connection remained stable. I highly recommend this e-SIM service; the price is reasonable, and the service quality is consistent.

Just scan the QR code to activate it! The internet is super fast and works everywhere. You also get unlimited free calls within Europe and 120 minutes of calls outside of Europe. This price is incredibly good value.

Overall, internet access is generally available in the city, and ChatGPT does work. However, it's unclear whether this is an Italian issue or an eSIM issue, but the network is very poor or even non-existent in some indoor areas. It's recommended to download offline translation in areas with good network coverage to avoid not being able to understand menus in restaurants.
