This was a fun experience, but it's worth being aware that if it's windy you cannot ride the cable car. The capybara were cute and free roaming at the entrance, but the zoo is a bit small and sad looking. Many animals seem to be hungry to encourage them to interact with people who can buy food to feed them. Many nocturnal animals in lit up areas, it made me feel a bit uneasy. Our tour guide didnt speak English, I was very lucky I had people who spoke Chinese who relayed the day to me.★

Purchasing this Tokai Bus Unlimited Pass "Ito-Izu Kogen 2-Day Pass" allows you to travel by bus to places like Mount Omuro, Izu Cactus Zoo, and Kinosaki Coast. The downside is that bus services are infrequent, so be sure to check the timetable carefully.★

When climbing to the top, the altitude of nearly 5,000 meters will feel the state of oxygen deprivation, whether psychologically or physically.
