The local guide was very enthusiastic, the accommodations and attractions were good, and the food was also acceptable. However, the airport pickup and connections were a bit disorienting, and the local tour groups were really crowded.

Those interested in wooden architecture should definitely check this out; it's excellent. The construction of the brackets and coffered ceilings, in particular, is truly ingenious and exquisite!
