I spent 10 days in Italy, and the internet speed was smooth and the price was reasonable. Outside the city, the connection was intermittent but quickly reconnected. I mostly uploaded photos to the cloud, using about 15GB in 10 days. Since I was on a tour, I spent most of my time visiting museums and following the itinerary, so I didn't have time to use my phone. Overall, I found it useful. (Be careful of pickpockets in Milan, Rome, and Florence).

However, it's unclear whether this is an Italian issue or an eSIM issue, but the network is very poor or even non-existent in some indoor areas. It's recommended to download offline translation in areas with good network coverage to avoid not being able to understand menus in restaurants.


