Bigbus is a double-decker open-top bus. Sitting on the upper deck offers a panoramic 360-degree view of Madrid's cityscape. Along the way, you'll see many famous landmarks, such as the Prado Museum, Las Ventas Bullring, and Plaza de España. The bus offers live commentary in English and Spanish. The commentary is lively, engaging, and informative, not only introducing the historical background and cultural significance of each attraction but also sharing local anecdotes, deepening your understanding of Madrid. The bus operates on routes such as the Blue Line, covering Madrid's main attractions and districts. The stops are conveniently located, allowing passengers to hop on and off at their convenience and plan their itinerary freely. For example, you can get off at Puerta del Sol to experience the vibrant city center; or disembark at Atocha train station to visit the Reina Sofia Museum. Tickets are valid for 24 or 48 hours, allowing for multiple rides and stops at different stations, maximizing your independent travel experience. The bus seats are spacious and comfortable, and the ride is smooth. Although the upper deck is open, there are sunshades at the front and back, providing some protection from the sun and rain.

It's a very convenient card, covering many modes of transport. The instructions are clear. At one point, we tried to get a card from an ATM, but it didn't issue them. There were ATMs nearby, but they did issue these cards, but we had to wait five minutes.

Overall it is definitely not cheap, but you can travel on trains around Europe as many times as you want during the period, flexible and convenient, especially for last minute travelers. Keep in mind in countries like Spain, Italy and France, the reservation fee is expensive and can add up quickly, so you need to plan ahead. Also, in most countries, the app cannot be used in the tickets gates automatically, and must seek help from staff. Hope they can improve it.

Great price, lower than through their website and in person, so definitely worth it! You have to still queue unfortunately to print your tickets, but after that you can go up in the cable cars and enjoy the beautiful views or Barcelona until you get to the citadel which is very scenic.


