There was no personal guide. We sat in one of two carriages, each with approximately six rows of four people. It was pulled by a "tractor," which was well disguised. The information provided was very brief and concise. I would have liked more background information during this half-hour tour, which was provided via headphones at the ticket counter, and which you could keep. (I think rental headphones are better, although more cumbersome, because they generate less waste.) Regarding the city information: I found it very brief and concise. I would have appreciated more background information about this historically significant city during this half-hour tour. Otherwise, the tour was pleasant.

A relaxing day. The Rhine Falls are definitely worth seeing. Our guide, Martin, was very friendly, providing detailed explanations of the historical stories and even helping us take photos. 🥰

Definitely recommended if your Switzerland trip is a couple of weeks as train travel is the way to go over there. It’s so convenient purchasing it at Trip.com and the tickets are emailed almost immediately. Be sure to print it out or keep it in your phone as conductors do check your half fare card almost every time. Note that you can purchase attractions like the gornergrat train and the first gondola at half off too.
