Gold Coast beach stretches for approx. 70 km, and its golden sand is a hallmark of this coastline, which is how it got the name Gold Coast. The sand is fine and glows with a warm golden luster in the sunlight, while the water transitions from a shallow turquoise near the shore to a deep blue in the distance, creating distinct layers. The beach features several distinct sections along its length, with a lively atmosphere in the north and a relatively quieter vibe in the south, catering to visitors with different preferences. Surfing is a signature, long-standing experience at this beach. The coastline boasts several famous surf breaks, including the Superbank near Snapper Rocks, which is known for producing long, hollow waves that attract a large number of surfers year-round. Surf lifesavers patrol the beach, and red and yellow flags mark safe swimming areas. A coastal walkway connects the various beach sections, making it a great way to explore by walking or cycling. The beach enjoys abundant sunshine and a mild climate year-round, with different sections catering to various needs.Surfers Paradise · 24.7km from Fingal Head

Cape Danger is a scenic spot in Australia, located on the southern tip of the Gold Coast, on the border between Queensland and New South Wales. When Captain Cook landed on the Australian mainland for the second time, in order to avoid the reef, the captain ordered a sharp turn of nearly 90 degrees to avoid the sinking of the ship, hence the name of Dangerous Point. There are Cook's Monument and Lighthouse on Cape Dangerous, where there are flocks of flying seabirds, sitting on the cliff overlooking the endless coastline and layers of white waves, facing the gentle sea breeze, very comfortable and comfortable.Coolangatta · 4.3km from Fingal Head

Gold Coast Sea World is a long-established marine theme park in Australia, located along the coastal area in the northern part of the Gold Coast. It combines marine animal exhibits, animal shows, and amusement rides into one park, offering both wildlife viewing and thrilling attractions. Animal encounters are the main highlight here: the penguin exhibit houses king penguins and gentoo penguins, where visitors can watch them waddle or dive into the water through viewing glass set against an icy landscape. The polar bear shores recreate the rocky coasts and pools of the Arctic summer, providing a rare chance to see polar bears in Australia. Shark Bay teems with sharks and rays, while the nearby ray reef allows hands-on interaction with rays. At seal harbor, Australian sea lions and fur seals bask on the shore or playfully chase each other in the water. The park hosts multiple daily dolphin shows and sea lion educational presentations—it's recommended to check the day's time slots upon arrival to plan your itinerary, and arrive early to secure seats for popular shows. Families with children shouldn't miss Nickelodeon Land, where animated characters like SpongeBob, Patrick Star, Dora, and PAW Patrol's Chase and Marshall meet travelers for photos. Thrill-seekers can tackle the wooden coaster Leviathan, the motorbike-style Jet Rescue coaster, and the splash-filled Storm Coaster. △ Meet your favorite animation characters △ Get close to marine life △ Experience thrilling amusement itemsMain Beach · 30.3km from Fingal Head

Aquaduck Gold Coast was established in 1996, the now famous & iconic Aquaduck remains Australia's first and finest amphibious adventure. Departing from Surfers Paradise, these tours offer a perfect blend of city tours and river cruising. We cruise past the fancy waterfront mansions of the rich and famous while taking in the spectacular views of the Gold Coast waterways and famous landmarks. There is a guide and a captain on the duck boat. The car will first take tourists to browse the city, and then drive to the special pier to slowly launch into the water. The tour bus will immediately transform into a cruise ship. The guide will introduce you to the famous and wealthy waterside villas on both sides of the river. Observing wild animals is also fun. Full explanation. In areas where there are few boats, children can also sit in the driving seat and be the helmsman with the help of the captain. At the end of the duck boat tour, the guide will issue a helmsman certificate with their name on each child who has sat in the driver's seat.Surfers Paradise · 26km from Fingal Head

Koala Encounter on the Gold Coast

4.1
As a rare and endemic animal unique to Australia, koalas, with their chubby bodies, soft fur, and laid-back demeanor, are a highly sought-after interaction for many visitors. Regulated local zoos offer professional koala-holding services. Staff will provide guidance on proper holding techniques throughout the experience to ensure the safety of both visitors and the koalas. During this experience, visitors can gently hold the koalas, feeling their warmth and fluffy fur. They can also take photos with the koalas, capturing this unique and adorable memory. Different zoos set daily interaction times based on the koalas' habits and health. Please check the zoo information in advance for specific times; planning ahead is recommended to avoid missing out. Parks also have specific participation requirements for different age groups. In addition to holding koalas, most zoos also allow visitors to observe koalas' daily activities up close, learn about their eating habits and lifestyle, and gain knowledge about Australian wildlife through interaction. Choosing the Gold Coast koala-hugging experience not only allows you to establish a warm connection with the adorable animals, but also allows you to deeply experience the unique charm of Australia's natural ecology, adding a touch of healing and joy to your journey.Australia · Gold Coast

We went straight to the zoo after getting off the plane. We arrived quite late, but we were lucky enough to see most of the animals, including wombats, Tasmanian devils, and smiling rats. A great zoo, highly recommended. The coffee at the entrance was delicious, and feeding the parrots was also very interesting. Feeding starts at 4 PM, and even when we left at 5 PM, there were still parrots to feed.

Skydiving on the Gold Coast is definitely the most worthwhile extreme activity here. There will be professional coaches and photographers accompanying you to skydive, which is quite safe. When you jump out of the cabin of the plane, you lose gravity and fly in the air like a bird. The feeling is really wonderful, and the beautiful scenery in front of you is really a very heroic feeling.

It was so much fun, much better than Tokyo DisneySea! The lines for the rides were shorter, and there were shows and interactions with manta rays. It's a shame we arrived a bit late in the morning and missed out on so many rides. The only downside was that the daily operating hours were too short. It's perfect for the whole family (the worst part is that adults aren't allowed to ride the carousel because they're tall; they can only ride in small cars, ugh).

We did a short hike around the coast and it was one of the most beautiful hikes I have ever been in. It's not a big national park and you don't have to walk very far but I definitely recommend it if you're looking to do something in the area.
