The Tsingtao Beer Museum is located at No. 56 Dengzhou Road, the birthplace of Tsingtao beer. This century-old factory, housed in a 1903 German-style industrial complex, witnesses China's beer industry journey from its infancy to prominence. As China's first beer-themed model for industrial heritage revitalization, the museum transforms weathered red-brick workshops into immersive spaces using precious early equipment like old motors, mash kettles, and boiling kettles. Visitors walking through the century-old memory corridor can touch over 30,000 artifacts from the German occupation era while overlooking the smart production lines of the "lighthouse factory" through glass walls. Through the dialogue between traditional wooden fermentation tanks and fully automated filling equipment, they decode the evolution of Chinese manufacturing from artisanal heritage to digital transformation. Personalized beer label printing customizes brews, turning taste into portable urban memories. This cultural landmark, bearing Qingdao's industrial DNA, not only showcases its benchmark value in cultural-tourism integration through honors like "national first-class museum" and "China's top 10 cultural heritage tourism cases," but also injects more sustainable vitality into the century-old factory by being selected as a "national cultural industry demonstration base." Huai'an is a city built and developed by the river. The ancient canal runs through the city, leaving Huai'an with rich cultural history and regional customs. In history, Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Qianlong, both grandfather and grandson, visited Huai'an six times during their trips to the south of the Yangtze River. When Empress Dowager Cixi was selecting concubines, she went from Huai'an to Beijing and an incident of gratitude occurred. Emperor Qianlong made a typo in his writing. The Qingjiang Dam, which has been in existence for 600 years, is still intact. The night Cruise on the Inner Canal does not go to the Hexia Ancient Town, but only sails in the urban area, and the sailing time is about 40 minutes. The route is the Ancient Canal Cruise Terminal-Yuexiu Bridge-Beimen Bridge-Ancient Canal Cruise Terminal. The scenery of the Inner Canal at night is no less than the Ancient Canal in Yangzhou and the Confucius Temple Qinhuai River in Nanjing, and you can take beautiful night photos.Huai'an · 29.4km from Lianshui

Slender West Lake

"In March when flowers bloom, head to Yangzhou." When visiting Yangzhou in spring, a trip to Slender West Lake is a must. This narrow stretch of waterway offers the perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. Stroll along the banks to admire scenic views, explore historic pavilions adorned with classical poetry and paintings, or cruise the lake by boat to experience the leisurely pleasure Emperor Qianlong once enjoyed during his royal visits. The attraction is quite expansive, stretching from the Great Rainbow Bridge in the southeast all the way north along the lake to Guanyin Mountain, passing dozens of attractions along the way. There are four main entrances (east, south, west, and north), with most visitors starting their tour at the south entrance on Great Rainbow Bridge Road. This renowned lakeside garden boasts breathtaking natural views. In spring, the area is shaded by lush willows and adorned with camellias, pomegranates, azaleas, and peach blossoms, attracting visitors from across the country to enjoy the seasonal blooms. For centuries, countless literati have lingered here, composing poetry and creating paintings that left behind numerous artistic treasures and stories. The site also features many landscape structures ingeniously designed to harmonize with its natural surroundings. The Five Pavilion Bridge in Shugang Slender West Lake Scenic Area is the iconic attraction with over 200 years of history. Featuring five wind pavilions atop, each of the bridge's fifteen arches cradles a moon during full moon nights. Another renowned attraction is the Twenty-Four Bridge, inspired by Du Mu's poetic line "Where is the jade-like beauty teaching flute-playing on the moonlit Twenty-Four Bridge?" While the original bridge no longer exists, visitors can admire its reconstructed version today. This was also a stop during Emperor Qianlong's southern tours in the Qing Dynasty. Architectural views like the Great Rainbow Bridge, Slender West Lake Scenic Area's Fishing Terrace, White Pagoda, and the Twenty-Four Bridges' Xichun Platform all bear inseparable historical anecdotes connected to Emperor Qianlong. During summer nights, the illuminated pavilions and moonlit reflections on the lake create a magical atmosphere. The nightlife experience here is entirely boat-based, offering a relaxing way to beat the summer heat while enjoying gentle lake breezes.China · Yangzhou

Going on a Friday afternoon meant fewer crowds and no queues for anything, including the parade floats. The only downside was that the Monkey King's Parade wasn't running, which was a bit of a disappointment. Everything was great, especially the Three Battles with the White Bone Demon, which allowed for multiple rides when there were no queues. The park was already setting up for Halloween, which created a nice atmosphere at night.

You can spend two days visiting Zhou Enlai's former residence in Huai'an. There's also a nice traditional shop in Hexia Ancient Town. The overall commercial atmosphere isn't too strong, so it's worth a visit.

One of only two remaining government offices, and the site of the tragic death of Dou E, it features an exhibition of ancient torture instruments, mostly displayed using digital technology, wax figures, physical objects, and illustrations. It's a must-see for tourists in Huai'an.

The Liyun Canal Scenic Area is free, but you need a ticket for the cruise. It is recommended to take a cruise to see the night view. We bought the cruise ticket in advance, and we need to exchange it for a paper ticket first, and then queue up to get on the bus. There were too many people during the May Day holiday, and we queued for more than two hours before we got on. During this time, we had dinner at the Qifeng Pavilion, and there was a performance at the National Master Tower, so the waiting time was not so unbearable.

The former residence of Premier Zhou Enlai, nestled deep within Fuma Lane, is a must-see in Huai'an. Admission is free, a truly generous offer. The old house is simple and serene, preserving the original appearance of the Premier's childhood. What's most touching is the "greatness emerging from the ordinary"—the simple furniture, the well he used as a child, and the locust tree he planted himself all convey the Premier's simple family values and youthful ambition. The courtyard isn't large, but every corner is worth lingering over. More than just a tourist attraction, it's a spiritual cleansing. A 5-star rating, a tribute to a great man!

This time, I made a special trip to Hexia Ancient Town in Huai'an to visit the Shen Kun Zhuangyuan Mansion. Shen Kun was Huai'an's first Zhuangyuan (top scholar in the imperial examinations), a hero who fought against Japanese pirates, and a close friend of Wu Cheng'en, the author of *Journey to the West*. The courtyard features blue bricks and gray tiles, pavilions and ponds, a school, and a martial arts exhibition area, where you can learn about the story of the Zhuangyuan soldiers who defended their country. I strolled around slowly, enjoying the garden scenery while learning about historical stories. The exhibits were abundant, and the architecture was antique and elegant. A visit was very educational. Being older, a leisurely stroll wasn't tiring, making it perfect for a visit to reflect on the past. #Huai'anTourism #HexiaAncientTown #ShenKunZhuangyuanMansion

Excellent experience at the Tsingtao Beer Museum! 🍺 We learned about the history of Tsingtao Beer and got an insight into the beer production process. The best part was getting to taste the beer along with some beer nuts during the visit. A fun and interesting experience, especially for beer lovers. Definitely worth a visit when in Qingdao!

100 yuan is alright; the scenery is quite nice, with lots of swans and ducks. Sitting on the boat, listening to the boatwoman's explanations, was very comfortable. After it rained at the Twenty-Four Bridges, we transferred to the park's shuttle bus. It cost 20 yuan and took about 10 minutes. After that, I explored the surrounding area on my own. If you have enough time and energy, I think exploring on foot and slowly appreciating the scenery would be very pleasant.
