Highlights: The scenery of the Xiling Snow Mountain has its own unique characteristics throughout the year. The main peak Miaojiling is one of the highest peaks around Chengdu at a height of more than 5,000 meters above sea level. The top of the mountain is covered in snow all year round and is magnificently beautiful. In spring, the azaleas in the mountains and fields are in full bloom forming a sea of flowers. Due to the lush forests, this attraction is ideal for avoiding the heat during summer. The winter season runs from end November till end March. During this period, the mountain attracts many visitors to its snow-filled attractions. There are ski resorts in the mountains as well as snowmobiles and dog sleds available for rent.

"The ancient town is not big, and it takes less than two hours to turn down a few streets. There is Jianchuan Museum next to it, 60 yuan/day, 100 yuan/three days, about half a day to see, (there are a dozen museums in total, I watched 4 or 5 of them, and it took almost three hours). There is also the Liu Museum, 40 yuan, there are three visiting areas, and it takes more than an hour to run quickly."

Highlights: Founded in the Tang Dynasty, Anren Ancient Town is a sleepy little slice of history. Some of the sites to visit include the well-preserved Liu Family Manor, the large Folk Museum, Red Star Street, Shuren Street, and Yumin Street. There are nearly a dozen Republican-era mansions scattered throughout the town. There are several good restaurants in town and it's challenging to choose only one. Nearly every single restaurant has their own take on locally famous dishes such as Maoxuewang (duck's blood and beef tripe in a spicy soup), Landlord's spare ribs, carp, and soft tofu. If you have the time, make sure to try them all!

Highlights: The Jianchuan Museum Cluster in Chengdu is a complex of 15 museums, each of which has a different theme. The museums are organized across four major themes, including the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937-1945), Folklore and Culture, China’s revolutionary era and the 2008 Wenchuan Earthquake. The museums featuring artefacts and exhibitions of the Second Sino-Japanese War are the most frequented. Each building in the museum complex is architecturally stylish, all designed by the museum’s founder, Dr. Fan Jianchuan. Appreciating these different styles of architecture is wonderful in and of itself. Jianchuan Museum Cluster features not only more than eight million artifacts in the diverse museums, it also has facilities such as a hotel, teahouse, souvenir shops and a man-made lake to the north of the complex.

"Heming Mountain is named for its shape like a crane, a mountain Tibetan stone crane, and a mountain Qixian crane. I have traveled to Heming Mountain many times and love its quietness. I also visited Zhifa. The first time I saw her, my friend Hong took me. We saw it as the same. To the middle height, white skin, round face, like a full moon in the sky. She doesn't speak much, her voice is soft and warm, her feet are light, and she is a very quiet woman. I like to sit, read, and eat tea in her tea shop. The sun pours in from the wooden window grid, and the pace of time is slow. There are often birds singing in the mountains and forests, which are as clear as water droplets."

Highlights: Heming Mountain, the birthplace of Chinese Taoism, is a famous Taoist mountain. It is adjacent to Qingcheng Mountain in the north (about 30 kilometers), Emei Mountain in the south (about 120 kilometers), Wuzhong Mountain in the west (about 10 kilometers), and reaches the western Sichuan Plain, about 70 kilometers away from Chengdu. Named because the mountain resembles a crane, a mountain-hiding stone crane, and a mountain-dwelling crane, it is one of the four famous mountains in ancient Jiannan. Here, the mountains are majestic, the trees are lush, surrounded by double streams, and the shape is like a standing crane spreading its wings. There are many scenic spots and historical sites in Heming Mountain Scenic Area. The main scenic spots are Sangong Temple, Wenchang Palace, Taiqing Palace, Jieyuan Pavilion, Bagua Pavilion, Yingxian Pavilion and the "Daoyuan Holy City" under construction. There are also 24 caves in Heming Mountain. In Ming Dynasty, Cao Xuequan's "Records of Scenic Spots in Shuzhong" said, "There are 24 caves in the mountain, and there should be twenty-four qi (five days is one qi, and three qi is one qi). The entrance of the cave is about three times wide. A ruler is unfathomable. Every time a breath passes, a hole opens, and the rest are invisible." It is called twenty-four holes. Heming Mountain Taoist Temple was approved by the Chengdu Municipal Government as a key cultural relic protection unit in 1985, and was approved as a Taoist open site in 1987. The "Chinese Taoist Culture Festival" also set up a venue in Heming Mountain.

"We went in April. The night before we were lucky, it just snowed. The snow on the top of the mountain was very thick. The scenery was still great. You can see the snow and see the mountains in the distance. The view is very good and very wide. There are small squirrels jumping around. I am not afraid of people at all. Don't go during the peak season. Otherwise, the time for crowding people is all used in the queue, and the experience is good when there are few people!"

"There is a scenic spot in Xiling Snow Mountain in Sichuan, which is called the Yin-Yang boundary. The origin of the so-called Yin-Yang boundary is that the mountain is like a boundary point between two climates, one side is the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau climate and the other is the eastern basin climate. This can be said to be a rare boundary point in the world."

Highlights: The Yinyang Boundary is a very narrow ridge within the Xilin mountains. It is the spot where two mountains meet. Its special geographic location means that you can sometimes see a special phenomenon: cloudless terrain on one side, and a thick fog on the other. It's extremely beautiful. When this happens, travelers will feel they are standing between two worlds: the air and the fog, the yin and the yang.
