I rented a bike in Stanley Park and cycled along the seawall. The ocean breeze felt so liberating! Along the way, I'd often see seals basking in the sun and passersby on scooters, and the vibrant atmosphere of life washed over me. The totem pole area was even more captivating than I'd imagined, its wooden carvings gleaming with a primitive beauty in the sunlight. While resting at Third Beach, watching the sunset paint the sea a golden red, my worries instantly vanished. The park is so vast that it's impossible to explore it all in a day, and I almost got lost—but these serendipitous discoveries of hidden paths were a real treat. Nature and urban life are perfectly balanced here.

Beautiful scenery and adventure in the rainforest of Vancouver. Enjoyed it, but costly for this park. I did like that it wasn't too crowded. That maybe the reasonable considering the cost.

Standing on the top of the park, you can see downtown Burnaby and the mountains in the distance, as well as downtown Vancouver, Stanley Park and the Lions Gate Bridge. The park is rich in vegetation, and you can smell the fresh air of the pine forest while walking along the forest trails. The park is famous for the Kamui Mintara sculptures created by Japanese sculptor Nuburi Toko and his son, which symbolize the harmonious unity of humans, animals, nature and God. The sculpture group consists of 29 hand-carved logs with animal images such as brown bears, owls, salmon and killer whales engraved on them.

If you are looking for a good place to relax around Vancouver, Deer Lake Park in Burnaby is definitely worth a visit! It is like a paradise in the city, with beautiful lakes and mountains. There is a flat wooden boardwalk around the lake, which is perfect for walking, jogging, or enjoying nature with children and pets. The lake is sparkling, seagulls and mallards are playing in the water, and snow-capped mountains are looming in the distance. The park is free, the lawn is suitable for picnics, and kayaks can be rented on the lake. In spring, flowers are in full bloom, rhododendrons are particularly romantic, and outdoor concerts in summer are even more lively. Especially in autumn, Deer Lake is even more beautiful, and it is a great place to enjoy maple leaves around Vancouver. Parking at Deer Lake is also very convenient, highly recommended!

It is said to be the last manned lighthouse in Canada. The husband and wife have passed away, and the old lady has been living in the white house next to the lighthouse. My best friend said that four years ago, their reading club specially visited the old lady to see the old man record decades of weather and lighthouse diaries. When I walked here today, the curtains of the old lady's white house were drawn, the front and back doors were locked, and the flower beds in the past looked like no one had taken care of them for a long time. It is estimated that another living history is about to fade away.
