jyayoiThe garden's winding paths lead to secluded spots, and every pavilion and tower has its own source of poetry, showcasing its rich cultural heritage. Too many people will spoil the experience; it's better to open and close the gates at different times when the lighting is softer and there are fewer people.

yerekingHanshan Temple Scenic Area is actually quite large. We visited the core area, which requires an entrance fee. With the crisp autumn air and red leaves, the image of Hanshan Temple outside Suzhou and the midnight bell tolling on the passenger boat became truly tangible.

包游记Tiger Hill truly lives up to its reputation as Suzhou's signature attraction! A stroll through the entire garden isn't tiring; an hour or two is just right, making it easy to visit even with elderly people and children. I've been to Tiger Hill several times before, but this was my first time exploring it close to evening. The Sword Pool and Tiger Hill Pagoda are must-sees. Seeing the leaning tower, as depicted in textbooks, in person will be incredibly awe-inspiring. I recommend hiring a guide for a guided tour, or, as a first-timer, renting an audio guide via QR code is also a good option. Personally, I feel that if it's your first time visiting Suzhou, Tiger Hill is a must-see; you can truly feel the city's thousand-year-old atmosphere.

Anonymous userLingering Garden isn't very large, so you can visit it together with Xiyuan Temple, which is just a ten-minute walk away. The best times to see the autumn leaves at Lingering Garden and the ginkgo trees at Xiyuan Temple might differ, so please check recent photos before you go. Personally, I think what's most charming about Lingering Garden is its artificial hills and the interplay of light and shadow. The afternoon sunlight casting shadows of visitors and the landscape on the walls is quite enchanting.

Anonymous userTo be honest, the Suzhou Museum is more famous for its architecture than its collection, but thankfully Professor Wu provided a vivid and engaging explanation. The tour, which I had booked for an hour and a half, actually lasted over two hours, and I learned a great deal.

Anonymous userQuaint little canal town. We were there during off-peak; had lunch and spent several hours exploring the attractions. The ticket included all the attractions in the town. Didn't have enough time for Luoxing Island. Recommended.

诗和远方旅行版A boat tour along Shantang Street is a must-do in Suzhou, perfectly capturing the romance of Jiangnan! We chose the night cruise, a 40-minute immersive aesthetic experience. The antique-style boat is elegant and comfortable, with soft seats and air conditioning. The window seats offer superb views, and the river surface is remarkably smooth with almost no bumps. As dusk settles, the ancient buildings on both banks light up with warm lights, reflected in the shimmering water, making you feel as if you've stepped back into Ming and Qing dynasty Suzhou. The Bluetooth narration is clear and engaging, from the stories of ancient bridges to the origins of the poem "A Night Mooring at Maple Bridge," adding cultural depth to the scenery. We even stumbled upon a Pingtan performance; the soft Suzhou dialect paired with the melodious pipa music instantly transported us to the charm of Jiangnan. Online ticketing is convenient, and boarding with a QR code avoids long queues, making it perfect for couples or families. This cruise not only showcases the graceful beauty of the canals and bridges but also allows you to appreciate the subtleties of Suzhou. It's incredibly cost-effective and highly recommended!

M47***39Definitely choose the night tour! Although it's more expensive, it's absolutely worth it! First, there's a guided tour, and then there are six or seven performances. Just imagine, strolling through the small garden while listening to Kunqu Opera and traditional Chinese string and wind instruments—it's truly a treat. Plus, the garden at night is absolutely stunning with lights and shadows. The night garden tour is definitely worth it!
